You know, if I was actually on a jury so I had something to do, I would mind it less. But sitting around for hours to wait for them to sort things out and get their dozen is not exactly a great use of time. There must be a more efficient way to run this system in the 21st century.
 
I was called once many years ago. I re]plied exp;aining the difficulties I had with attending. The Court was an hours drive away. I had four kids whon would need expensive babysitting. Never heard from them again.
 
Have been called twice and served once.

Sitting on the jury was both educational and stressful. The trial lasted a couple of months and I was blessed to have my salary paid by my employer.

The second time I requested to be excused based on my age. Once was enough.

You know that Trump knows that he is the best too ... and he is the top justice ... he favors the best! Trump, Russia and China are about to judge Ukraine ... and you know the outcome will be the people's fault ... and guess who will agree with the conventional God? It could never be the fault of the best.

Sometimes such opinions bother me ... but it never bothers the best believers ...
 
I was called to jury duty but was excused when I told the judge I needed to attend my husband’s oncology appointments with him. They thought the trial would last more than a week which conflicted with appointments.

A couple of months in jury duty is significant.
You more than did your civic duty.
