Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

Good morning! The weekend is beginning soon. Hoping yours starts well and stays well. We gather round the Coffee Cart for our daily conversations and support session, to build our community even stronger. We drink coffee and tea, and enjoy the productions of our Wonderbaker. This morning WB has baked up for us a batch of cupcakes of varied flavours.
The tea water is boiling, and the coffee is freshbrewed; the cupcakes are warm from the oven. All is ready, everybody is heartily welcome. Come in and join in the chats and goodies!

Good morning all (your time). Personally, I just don't et the need to have sauces, spreads, butters, etc. on scones. That's because when I buy a scone here in Korea, that's just what I get - a scone. A dry, floury alternative to muffins. My favourite of which is the chocolate chip scone

The daughter went to the cottage these past couple of days with a friend. My daughter drove. Just two 19-year-old girls hanging out in Muskoka with a canoe, some good food and small pack of vodka coolers.

I'm happy for her.

Oh to be 19 again and hang out on the strand ... St who? Rand is complex ...

The cautious and responsible one is cautious and responsible. To a fault.
No harm in being cautious and responsible where booze is concerned. Mine got to be a fairly heavy drinker at one point. Then he got involved with his Muslim eventual wife and went the total opposite direction.:ROFLMAO:

I'm a wine with dinner a few times a year kind of guy nowadays.

Since I've been a pastor, I've never drank anything. My pastorate's coming to an end at the end of August. Which shall I try first - soju or makju (sp?)?

I've been told it is hard to be packaged or boxed up in a stone cell ... thus eli mi nation subtly escapes ... with a shift of word as logos ... word is slick and baffles some that are stuck on some feature ...

The variants as ultimate are extensive and tend to stretch the pios ... the penetrating "i" oozing? Imagine that stare effecting someone looking at your naked soul ... appreciation or rejection? Dear God ... did he do that?

Its scriptural ... like a blossom in a crock ...

I abused alcohol in my youth.

Got my s**t together in late 20s. Now rarely drink.

We have alcoholism in the family, so count myself lucky.
y partner comes from a family with lots of alcoholics , a few teetotallers and a few careful drinkers.
We rarely drink alcohol
Just hearda couple of days ago that a young family member has fallen in a bottle and lost the family farm. Sad. His dad, some uncle ,gramdads on both sides were alcoholics.

Very minimal drinker, but enjoy the odd glass of wine, a beer or a nice g&t occasionally.
I made a vow with myself that if I pass 100 years old, I'm going to start drinking and smoking and hanging around in bars.

Addiction is an interesting beast. It has many heads.

I have a friend who is now in hospice, who has spent the last year navigating "best way to die of brain cancer". Arguing with doctors about "too much prednisone", because they think they should wean her off it... Crazy.

My paternal grandfather was a scoundrel.

He drank .

He said his health was because he only drank good scotch and smoked good cigars

I like alcohol. For some reason, I've never abused it. I can go without for months. Not often, but I have. I've never tried the Devil's lettuce. Bette needs to hook me up, I suppose.

I have alcoholics on my dad's side. Not my father, though.

Claire, you'll be interested to hear, tried to get drunk and failed. Two coolers on a full stomach and felt nothing. Utter failure.

This girl is so damn funny.
