Yeah, it's actually brightening up here now after a dark start to the day. Rain seems to have stopped, at least for now. From the leaves on the tree outside my window, it looks like we got a good soaking.Rain should be gone by 11.
Now if you fell into nettle like I did once, you would have the immediate gratification of expected pain. I was riding a path through the woods on my mtn bike years ago and failed to negotiate a sudden bend. I was thrown into a large patch of them. The worst was I was wearing shorts.Last week of school for our kiddos
Garden watered by nature overnight
Sunday's full of ball and family
Cool nights for sleeping
So far no poison ivy from my face plant in the patch on saturdy
All good

Good morning! So much talk about retirement and pensions that Redbaron quit. May we find topics of conversation today that don't make us all sound so old. Perhaps the new slang or the e-scooter craze that has kids unable to pedal 10ft. Anything but pensions, compression socks and bingo strategies, please. I finally got the hang of the coffeemaker but refuse to make tea on humanitarian grounds. The Wonderbaker has similarly retired and left a...tin of biscuits? Rude. Anyway, come join us old folk as we navigate retirement packages and denture creams. Come join the...err...fun?
Aliexpress Redbaron?
Doesn't sound like a boring retirement for you.Two reasons to go seven months beyond my 65 th:
I will be 30 years in Canada by the end of January- I will only get partial Canada pension, because you have to have been 40 years in Canada, but if you go in the middle of the year they don’t count it.
Secondly, the pension base year gets adjusted usually January 1st. It lags 2-3 years behind our wages, so I want to catch the recent increases for retirement. Living on one income, I need to catch every dollar I can get.
What I am planning to do- certainly will find a volunteer job. The local Red Cross office for equipment loans is keen on me starting there, I know all the volunteers because we (OTs) usually provide them with a nice lunch at Christmas time.
I have also read that the CNIB is looking for drivers, but haven’t looked into this yet.
And then there is Pickle all and baby sitting.
And the weeds in my garden.
