I think you're safe for summers now, even north of the arctic circle. The last couple of cold spells probably had you wondering if it would ever end.

We've cut the grass twice already, and it's overdue for a third. Like most in my area, I have a landscaping contractor cut my lawn. I've changed Claire's name to "Landscaping Contractor".

I swear, if I dont see a teenager cutting their own lawn soon, I'm going to lose it.
 
We only have a small patch of grass. It is above our septic tank on the lower part of the property. To be fair it is bigger than many yards in new builds. Kids like going on hikes to it and picking the flowers aka dandelions.

Spouse tried to get lawn to grow in back area which had been seeded, etc but no luck. So much shade. I now love that the moss and native violets have taken it over

@Nancy you have had such a long winter this year. Our trees are not fully in leaf but close.
 
Given the time element and the limited milage on my car ... I put winter tires on (without studs) and run them 3 to 4 years before replacement.

When I see the antics on the road ... I do not wish to be out there any more than necessary. Also I stay home in foul weather unless an emergent item as emergent "C"! Expect a glowing light to be shed to the darker domain ... as in that Shack myth (with follow-up I understand).

I remain home with books (for abstract logic) and a supply of beer and food for self preparation. That consumes my time. Now the alcohol as one of the sterols may end my life sooner or later ... depending on the 2 x 2 split and the jeweled support of the spin ... that allows for 6 dimensions beyond the core, 1 of which is said to be a spatial effect like antigravity! Does emptiness draw on some of your parts as you note things gone that were previously there? Some say such stuff is inconsiderable ...

Stories, etc. require reading into up-front as pagan, heathen and primal understanding of the former ... the bypass function allows for ignorance ...

In some valve replacements and heart failure ... because the core just doesn't stand well under extreme stress ... it is a human factor used against their opposition ... thus the soul leftover leaves as a story for those out there ... BPD a type of disorder and dissonance? Do not bet on its absence in your life are there is that autonomous part to the neural side ...

Unbelievable right! Very self-righteous ... even though generally corrupted as all else in realty ... thus we depart into the unreal abstract ...

Realists would like me laid to the rest of the departed ... like the movie Ghost ... weird ... and these essence linger ... like foul hormones ... spent ecstasy? Leaves 3 alternates ... epi stem logical impossibilities ... earthy logs? These must be transferred to star logs ... by none other than trans mutant means ... silent in the dark ... a projected black pool?

Un real ... numbers that have no end to "M" ... millennial faults? Everything is cracked ...

I lost my "landscaping contractor" years ago. They are renting a small house now, so he's got his own to worry about. Mrs. M keeps musing about paying someone to do it but, geez, I'm not in perfect condition but I am not that decrepit. Maybe if my current mower ever packs it in but it's not that old yet and had an overhaul a couple years ago.
 
For some people, sure. There are plenty of good reasons to hire out services. I understand.

But there are so many teenagers in our subdivision, and many homes with teenagers simply don't even own a lawnmower. It's crazy. We have a conga line of landscaping trucks with zero turn mowers on trailers and racks of string trimmers. A small army descends on each house individually, then leaves 15 minutes later. Soon, a different truck and trailer will show up at the neighbour's house.

We are in an "in between" phase right now. Older folks whose kids have grown up moving out, new families moving in. So there's a few teens around but not many. My neighbours to the East and across the street have young kids, not up to mowing yet.

Someone needs to coordinate it. Form a neighbourhood committee and get a contract covering the whole street or something. Probably save some money that way. :giggle:

Being at the office 4 out of 5 days, I don't see this stuff much but my sense is that in my area, most people on my block at least are still doing their own. Even the old guy who used to live where the young family is now was cutting his own into his eighties.
 
Remember the poor must pay for what the rich do ... no matter what because the urge is that the powerful are that way because of what they have taken for an ineffable zone because it is crappy down there ... bottom-lime reason for the AEries to rise as a smell ...

How easy is it to forget rules about gild dead things with out soul? Take a peek out ... side your shell ... there's a lot to see on the strand ... imagine shelling out on the side ... the raw turtle island! Can one get entangled in collagen and properly extracted? How various pro tein acetous things get passed on ... jellyfish theory as pliable ... a grand story from the deeps!

Hidden in there is a vital truth about the branches connected as in the impossibility of: "I am the vine and you are the branches!"

What is the onus (responsibility) that the populous bears? Is there an advantage of extracting intelligence from the item of contention ... a soul-mind complex?

Can you comprehend a simple escape from such vocation ... kill the opposition? A word appearing from either side ... eith ereal!

Does anyone know about Ereal? Is there an opening to go there like an abstract portal ...
 
We had some big downpour early this evening, and lots of thunder/lightning. Typical late spring storm, especially with moving weather systems; it's trending cool again. I actually closed my car windows after I got home, lol.
