Spent some time reading the posts I missed for a few days. More to read yet but too tired to concentrate,
Quick update - I went to the ER Friday morning having accepted that my oxygen wasn't stopping the repeated drops when I moved. I figured after three days of grabbing the 02 supply that maybe there really was something wrong.
Doc slapped me inside and I got home a couple of hours ago. Hopefully I'm fixed up for a while now. Needing to rest a bit I think. .

Sorry to hear this Kay, glad that you're home and hopefully now having that much needed rest.

Good Wednesday morning! Weather forecast predicts cold weather for the time being. (Cold? in January? Who'da thunk it??) Hope those of you in the cold weather zones are keeping warm. For taping hot packs on, for visits with friends, for being able to breathe well after hospital stay, for all that is on our minds and all that we think up today, may we have lots to discuss as we meet around the Coffee Cart. The tea water is near to boilin, the coffee is just finishing up is brewing, and the Baker has provided some bear claws for us to enjoy. All is ready, all are welcome! Come in and join in the chats!

Bought a hotpack for my husband from Lee Valley. It is rechargable.
I was surprised at how hot it is when fired up. Wouldn't want it next to any sensitive skin!
Hope you were ok on the hills, Chansen.

Booked a few days at St. Anne's Spa with my sister.
It is a special birthday for her, and my sister-in-law will join us.
I'm on hold now, trying to get all the extra facials, etc booked now that they have decided what they want.
Quite decadent, but, hey, i'm not paying to fly anywhere, so it is my Feb vacation.

Good morning! Thursday has dawned. Getting hot packs and booking spa days, good way to spend a cold winter's day. These plus what we come up with today will join us at the Coffee Cart, as we join for our daily tea, coffee, and snacks. Today the Wonderbaker has whipped up butter tarts for our indulgence. The tea water is boiling, the coffee is freshbrewed, and the tarts are nice and warm. All is ready; everybody is welcome. Come join the fun!

Sounds fun @JayneWonders. Just thought I’d share an interesting observation from my walk yesterday—-A gentleman was driving his electric scooter on our snowy sidewalks. He got stuck! By the time I approached him a driver had stopped to help and another walker who knew the stuck man by name was helping. It was a pretty bumpy sidewalk and it took two people to make sure he didn’t tip. It was nice to see the kindness.

It’s nice when it happens. I wouldn’t take mine out in the snow (more than a thin layer). They’re not built for it. Too risky.

I got stuck on a speed bump in a parking lot once (actually I’ve been stuck on speed bumps a few times - sometimes I make it over and sometimes not - but this was a stand-out situation) I was sitting there like a turtle on its back saying “excuse me?!…oh, hello?…” to people walking or cycling by for probably 15 minutes before someone came over and gave me a push to get over it! Just another miscreant bothering people lol…thinking about it, it’s almost satirical, but at the time - frustrating! Helpful people, at other times, made up for it.

I think if I ever came across a mobility scooter stuck in the snow, I'd hook up a tow strap to my truck and tell them to hold on.

Before anyone loses their minds over a joke, of course I wouldn't do that.

I am a problem solver by nature. I would get them on their way, no question. I'm the person who will never walk by.

But you may wish I did walk by. Once you're free, I'm going to see if I can make chains for your scooter tires. Or maybe take them apart and stud them for the ice and snow. Maybe I'll modify the suspension for more ground clearance.

So, yeah, you'll be free. Momentarily.

If I leave to "get my tools," drive like the wind.

I want you in charge of my project at work. More "get it done" and less playing power games. Nuff said.
I'm great at doing things. I'm less great at listening to the opinions of morons. Especially if that moron outranks me.

Explain anything?

I'm choosing to stay inside doing some baking. There is NO WAY I can convince myself to stand outside in the -42 windchill we have right now.
Actually I can predict that I won't stand outside tomorrow either as the forecast is for -50. windchill. Some people are rejoicing that they aren't brass monkeys.
