**sweeping up the crumbs**** They are so good but they can be messy

sounds like you had a good visit. Love those that result in conversations weaving amongst people and across time

I had treatment today. I had a weird thing happen. Well, the nurse and I did. The nurse put in the needle and it felt a bit odd. Nothing alarming. She looked puzzled then said she could see the needle beside my vein. When she pulled it out, she could see it had split in half, like a two pronged fork. One side went into the vein and the other beside the vein. As I said, it only felt weird. It didn't hurt. So, she had to use another vein. She put the gauze and tape on the first site then tied a tourniquet around that part of my hand to stop the bleeding there. Then she put another tourniquet around my arm to stick me in another vein. Thankfully, she was very good at inserting needles without pain. Treatment went smoothly from there. I'll have a good bruise.

This like some intelligence must be put on in layers because common folk can't take too much at once ... one's aid? Variance in noted ... everything alters with the first bite ...

Good morning! Saturday is here! Hoping that the split needle' bruising is minimal, and no ill effects more than that. Meanwhile heat wave warnings in this area abound, through next Thursday.
We join in friendship around the Coffee Cart, for the usual chat, community building, and moral support sharing. This morning, by popular demand, we have Eccles cakes. I've never tried one, but they look wonderful. The tea water is hot, coffee is freshbrewed, and the cakes are nicely warmed. (There is some banana bread left over, still fairly fresh, for anyone who would prefer it.) All is ready, all are welcome. Come join the fun!

Is there any kohl coffee other than isis that's Ur ... chilling?

As a an oddity as I was going by ... "repasse" on investigation to its meaning it was interesting as the part after was repast ... and most likely open to examination! Something additional to check out ... making ROOM for mores ...

What happens when doing great etudes? You are told to get out ... because there are those that do not wish to know anything in hard Knox ... that's life itself ... something to get by as in a path E logic Jam ... the mush before examination?

Explanation? left to an ethereal few ... stretch in a thin line as someone collects what they believed was their in erroneous thought! Ci Eril ... ceruse?

What a mess of word to reveal and unwind ... dis clo the? Thus goings on ... as words take flight as fey and gone ... lost! Ones out dah ead thing ... like whispers in the valle ... a type of veiled thing ... misty?

Can it be un re veal led ? Only if you are going to know it ... real folk often wish to know nothing ... thus an on flux of irresponsibility's ... these lead us into great bother ... when the cards are down! Pla end ...

Will just pop the banana bread into the microwave for a few seconds. Ta da! Perfect with a daub of butter.

It's 9:09 p.m. here. We're still in the heatwave. I came to an ice cream shop for some cold chocolate and cheesecake flavors. Yum

Banana bread! Yay!

Memorial for my aunt today. First time in my all years visiting cottage country that I have set foot in a church up here. Weird, eh.

Then home. We stayed in Lindsay last night and visited with my youngest brother and his wife who stayed in the same place. Weird how rarely we get together given we all live within an hour or so drive of each other.

Wow, that is odd. Do you feel it was a faulty needle?

I'm surprised you don't have a PICC.

It was a faulty needle. I don't want a PICC. I had a port before. The line shifted so it was removed. I asked about getting another one and was told there was no need if my veins were good. This drug isn't as hard on them as the chemo drugs six years ago.

Just made it through vacation bible camp week. 3/5 days were solid, need to modify some snack plans next year. A snack with no carbs is a disaster; cheez whiz on cucumbers produces a cracker-soggying slime...

It was 23 degrees when we left home yesterday. The temperature raised as we headed south. It was a high as 28. When we left town, it was 27 and 28. When we got home, it was 23. We're half an hour from the hospital, so not far. Elevation and proximity to the ocean have impact.

Here's hoping the present day enthusiasm for no/ low carb eating goes the way of the Atkins Diet whenever that was.

I don't even look at diabetes forums because they are filled with people trying to eat practically no carb.

Toronto is being treated to another heat wave. It is expected to last until Thursday.

Rain rain rain here. I’m looking for a break in it so I can walk to the grocery store. Grandkids from Sudbury are here and they are having fun playing outside under the Roberta Bondar pavilion at the waterfront. They came for a family friend’s 40th birthday celebration which is now cancelled due to weather…the hazards of planning outside celebrations.
