Heading off to the YMCA soon to swim with my daughter and grandson. I don't have a membership, so will just pay the day rate. I just paddle around, not a real swimmer, but it might make me feel a little less wintery!
 
My favourite singer posted a video for her birthday, just greetings to the raft of fans sending her good wishes. She's very clearly somewhere warm (She doesn't say but based on the scenery, some say it's Thailand). Given she and her family live in Sweden (she's Dutch, hubby is Swedish), guess getting away for her birthday was a good idea. I certainly wouldn't mind getting away again since my vacation was before the latest blast of winter.
 
Headed out to a sewing class this afternoon.
I'm making the apron pictured below, learning how to do the hardware, but the best part is the people that will be running it, and the laughter that we will have.
I love this shop.

Well s**t. The drug I'm on now causes 40 to 50% of people to lose their hair. I just washed mine and it came out in handfuls. My scalp was sore so that was a clue. Apparently I'll be in the 40 to 50% :( I've only had one treatment. On a positive note, it means the drug is doing something.

So sorry to hear about the hair loss Northwind. There are so many drugs that do that while (hopefully) curing a disease. Cyberhug to you.
 
Hugs. If it works, I'd take the hair loss (says the guy who's sported a bald spot since his forties and doesn't have drugs as an excuse
:rolleyes:). But it must be quite disconcerting when it comes out like that.

I am taking eye drops for glaucoma which seem to be killing off my eyelashes. I will ask about this at my next appointment. But would rather live without eyelashes than lose my sight.

Losing hair is a much bigger deal than losing eyelashes. Not trying to say they are the same @Northwind
 
I went out to pick up a library book I had on hold. The branch is at the other side of town. I almost needed scuba gear to get there. It's a very wet day.

What else is on the efficiency list that we need no longer as the rich have almost all they want except what the poor have?

Damn; am I all wrong ... on the wrong side of existence? Imagine an alter Nate ... wasn't Nathan a waggoneer? Teamster ...

Can excess love and emotion urge a national leader to stupefaction?

Stupefaction is said to include oblivion, unconsciousness, senselessness and other devoid characteristics ... isn't that wonderful for those despising being WOKE? May resemble mental psychopathy ... this causing worry to the alternate mass of the populace ... i.e. ANes thing ... knockout! Maybe being draught 'dout of a pitiful state? Quick ... jerk ... and another word drawn across open space ... in one ear and out the other --- Goethe?
