Blowing snow but not much new accumulation yet. Road conditions suck around the region and a couple sections of 401 and 402 are closed. Haven't left for work yet and might just work from home. Supposed to get worse later, with more squalls.
I heard you're supposed to get close to 50 cm.......which is alot better than Gravenhurst. Boy did they get clobbered

We have maybe 3 inches here north of Toronto. Plows have it dealt with.

Still waiting in my parents plans. Fully expect they will delay during the decent weather and suddenly decide they have to drive home just as an unpredicted squall arrives.

The pictures were amazing, tho. Our place is almost in Huntsville, so I don't think we got the same treatment. But we can wait to check on the place.

Actually, getting the full 50 cm will bring our total close to their's, but not all in one shot like they got. Over the course of a week. The SW Ontario snow belt generally seems milder than the Central Ontario one. Got flurries happening now so I guess things are starting to build.

No snow here, though there is some on higher elevations.

We're heading into the city for my specialist appointment. I'm finding I'm not anxious about this appointment today. I'll let you know how it goes.

I picked up the car yesterday. It has a new battery and clean oil. My credit card has be charges.

Bah - car expenses suck.
Yeah, they do indeed. $360 just for tire swap and storage on my two.

Winter is back in full force here. Snow falling, wind blowing. I shovelled enough of the driveway for my wife's ride to get in when they finally get back from waterloo and that wind was nasty.

Me after lunch:

Just heading home from my oncologist appointment. It went well. The scans showed some progression so I was concerned. I started this drug in September after some delay because of stupid people who dropped balls along the way. Then I had a two week break because of a rash then covid. So, she wants to continue for 6 more weeks then do another CT scan to monitor. Apparently there are other options if this med doesn't work. I like that there are options plural. It's reassuring. She did tell me what my next option will be so I have a feeling she thinks this drug may not be working. Fingers crossed.

I have to add that I was most thankful we don't have snow here today. The drive was good. There is a mountain you have to go over between here and the city. Sometimes there will be snow on the summit and that causes issues. None today thankfully.

Stay warm snowy friends.

We've had nothing here. I shovelled a skiff off the front porch, my boarder did a once-over of driveway with scoop. We've decided we'll see if we can manage with an electric snow shovel this winter.

Christmas toenails are done, AND the big guy kept to his word and had his nails painted to match mine. Red and green alternating (we even mirrored each other's toes - my left big toe is green, his is red) with glitter. As the lady, I have extra chonky glitter on my big toes.

Christmas fingernails on Sunday. A deep red colour changer with mini gold nuggets on my index fingers, then a gold sparkle french tip on the rest.

I've had a terrible few weeks with losses in my church family. Bonnie, lovely woman, partner of 61 years to the guy I co-chair the Tues Night group with; Ian, kind quiet man with a totally devoted wife who had a stationery store in Trenton and was close to my late husband's family; Alice, who sat in the back right, always smiling always quietly helpful. So many sandwiches, so many tears

Good morning! Happy Friday! Power outages, traffic accidents, blowing snow and more snow, treatment options, Christmas fingernails, and all the other things that create a day in the life, we bring them to the Coffee Cart, to chat, offer and find support, and deepen the community. The coffee is fresh brewed, tea water ready for use, hot chocolate is available, along with muffins and fruitcake. All is ready, and all are welcome. Come and get it!

Good evening, Red Baron. Coffee and muffins sound delightful for tonight's snack

Another 4 inches overnight and a prediction of another 15 to 20 between today and tomorrow. I'm in a dilemma. I got an event going at our church called "shopping free" for kids to come and pick out free gifts for family members... It's a white elephant sale without the sale part. Everything is almost set up and it is amazing what our little church has provided. Unbelievably good gifts. But...snow, snow, snow. If I postpone it, I will need to move everything to make room for Sunday School on Sunday and the quilters on Tuesday. Supposed to meet with the helpers today so I may ask for a consensus.

Took another 8-12" off my driveway this morning including the dump from the plow. Supposed to warm up and rain early next week so I think we are now going on a break from winter (after today, that is, which is still below zero with a chance of flurries). Just have to worry about streets flooding due to all the storm drains being blocked by snowbanks.

Did three driveways this morning. Both neighbours appear to be on vacation. Nobody tells me anything.
