My Dad's passing was similar, just left the hospital and pulled into the driveway, and was told he had passed shortly after I left.Kind of grey and meh here. Windy but not exceptionally so. Nursing a headache from last night but it is almost gone.
Marking a decade since Dad's passing (Nov. 11, 2014). I got the news right about now, in fact. I had been at the LTC in the morning but he was alive when I left to grab some lunch and then head back to London, figuring there was nothing more to do that day. My brother called just as I pulled into a favourite fast food place, a South Side Burger where I had eaten with Dad once or twice. So I had a quick bite and headed back. Said our goodbyes then convened at brother's place to start the funeral, estate, etc. work. Went back to Kitchener the next day to meet with his pastor and other business. Thanks again for all those here who posted in the condolences thread that someone (I forget who) started.
Hope your day goes well and your memories bring joy.
