as you know the adult world is bizarre
i think we only come to accept it for self preservation lol

(Wenslydale however seems very British to me. A cheese that looks like a cheese, but is so considerate with other's, that it doesn't impose its cheesiness upon them. Got to try it out thanks to The Wrong Trousers where they go to the Moon)
 
Ha...up before the coffee cart is ready! I've been coughing non-stop every night for the last few days. Well, almost non-stop. Last night I think I got more than two hours of sleep so I feel rested. Up and working on the Christmas-complicated church bulletin. Hoping that my brain isn't sleep-deprived fuzzy. Off to get coffee in the real world.

Good morning! Happy mid-week! Hope everyone is safe and sound. For those with the persistent cough, hoping it subsides soon. The Coffee Cart is up and running, for conversation and care and hot beverages. Also, inspired by the idea of chili cook-offs, we may try a mac-and-cheese cook-off. Maybe. Anyway, we're up and running, so come on in!

Wow, busy day today. Ducts cleaned this a.m., headed over to Big Guy's, who fed me french toast made with Pannetonne, which I heartily recommend. Then I put the turkey in brine, made pastry, prepped veggies and bread for stuffing, made stuffing for peppers and got them in oven. Did a bit of shopping (mainly for containers for this monster turkey that we intend to use over the next four days), mailed Xmas parcels. I have only to go to the used bookstore and I am finished shopping.
 
Well, they hadn't been done for at least 20 years, so yeah. Found a reputable company. Took an hour, seemed to be a reasonable price. Smells fresher. Hoping dust accumulation will lessen. Did dryer vent which I knew was bad. Didn't want to deep clean and paint the house before the furnace and ducts weren't spreading more dust and crap around.
 
There's a bunch of contagious crap floating around. Tis the season, winter. My co-facilitator of my Tuesday night group came down with influenza (despite vaccine), as did his medically-fragile wife, who is now in hospital, hoping to be out Friday.

And I'm really hoping that the duct cleaning in here will lessen my internally-circulating dust and crap. What is minky? Fake fur? Oh, yeah...
 
Lots of seasonal crap here too. Our LTC is on Shut Down again -third time I think since the beginning of the fall. This time it is Covid, last time was influenza.
 
Oy. We went up island this morning. The Costco here doesn't have propane so we go up there to get our tanks for the RV filled. I had bloodwork first and we left from there. We went to Costco then to a local winery to get some wine. We met friends at a pub and had a nice visit. We stopped at the RV park where we stayed this summer to get blueberries they grow on their farm. Yummers. We visited with friends outside there. It's so nice that it's warm enough for an outside visit and that it wasn't raining. Now we're home and comfy.

My nephew flew from Germany to Edmonton yesterday and got in after midnight. He drove towards the island today and presumably made it to Kamloops. It will be nice to see him over Christmas.
 
Good morning! How is everyone? We think of trips to see friends and get supplies, of clean ducts, of bleu cheese, and of many other things that make up the day. We gather in spirit round the Coffee Cart for hot beverages and goodies, for support and camaraderie. All is ready, come on in and join in!

In our Pub Philosophy group yesterday ... we may have caused some stoic piety (edifice) some shakeup ... close to dissonance or Eris as it went ...

We shall observe to see how the cosmic item settles ... there's a lot to it ... Athens or Athenian as Atheistic sticker? Consider the differences, etc, as diabolical opportunity if in reverenđs (reverents) with reverence? Calm passions ...

Putting words to order is difficult considering the scatter effect of straying, undomesticated emotions ... wild?
 
Good morning. I'm going to finish the knitting gifts well ahead of the day. Yes, December 21 is well ahead of the day. I was prepared to finish in front of the recipient because I know he's knitworthy and all that. :)
