I make mac and cheese in the InstantPot. Yum.

We just got home from another campfire with friends. It was lovely. Now I'm in my comfy chair with my knitting project.
Yesh it is really meant to be ground into paste by our teeth and stomach first :3

what do you doctor your mac n cheese with?

i like ketchup (and know of peeps who go eww at that)

tomatoes i like as well
oh and chopped weiners mmm mmm

Mac and cheese is totally about the cheese, IMO. If we need hot dogs, ketchup, sriracha, then we might be talking about kraft dinner type fix its, I think.
one or more than 1 cheese?

and i still love my KD

its that orange cheese mix i really love
used to like toppinh popcorn with it

Good morning! Members of Team Santa will be busy. Air fryers, mac and cheese (in my younger days I found that Gulden's Spicy Brown mustard was wonderful on KD), as well as other embellishments, all sorts of other themes and topics that come up, part of the reason the Coffee Cart exists. Come n in, share in the conversation and hot drinks and baked goodies. All is ready.

I make mac & cheese from scratch and have always liked it with ketchup. In my family of origin, we might have had coleslaw with it but never meat.

Hotdogs are Mr Paradox's family tradition and honestly, they're not bad. I have also used mac & cheese as a side dish with ham.

I dislike the versions which include onions in the recipe.

Chili sauce is cool, or Kohl if you wish .... one doesn't know what the alternate desires because we seldom question ... it is out of the image ...

I've lost my train of thought and thus approaching heaven when all thoughts are blown ... epistemological gap? Some stare in unbelief ...

Maybe the riffs and giggles ... rifts? Just another wrinkle ... so may threads to connect when folk resist ... fued?

Chili sauce is cool,

on all kinds of things, especially meatloaf, but not on mac and cheese, made with a cheese sauce comprising dry mustard, a smidge of nutmeg, salt, pepper, 2-4 different good complementary sharp cheeses, whole milk. A crunchy topping of panko blended with a lot of real parmesan is nice.

Good morning! Bit of snow on the ground in this area, hope everyone stays safe. The Coffee Cart is ready, with fresh coffee and hot tea water, with gingerbread and Mandarin oranges available for those who like them. Let us gather round in spirit, for conversation and community, and virtual hot drinks and goodies. All is ready, come on in!

I agree. However I learned the hard way that blue cheese doesn't work. I love it uncooked, but creamy mold in a sauce isn't appetizing to me. I'll take sharp cheddar and asiago.

mmm Keen's! Megaera introduced me to that
I still have one of her containers. Don't know how long she had it but it has a patina lol

For mac & cheese? Yeah, cheddar all the way. Though using asiago sounds interesting, too. I sometimes add a bit of parm, just grated sprinkled over the top. My son did a really fancy gourmet one once when he was staying with us during the pandemic. I think he used a mix of cheddar and mozza for that. Maybe parm, too. He turned into quite the cook during his university years. Made fantastic quesadillas for us once, too.

i will have to try the Blue Stink some time with pasta

thanks for the idea :3

did you always like Bleu Cheese?

I remember my dad and I would in Vernon eat at Mr. Mike's and this seemed to b b4 the invention of A/C so inna summer their door was always open and the stink of the blue cheese at the salad bar always got to me lol

don't know why i love Fungus Cheese now

Less taste buds? lol

I love blue cheese but I am not sure how you would work it with pasta. Maybe add it to a pasta salad after the pasta is cooled so it doesn't get cooked?
