Room For All

BTW I grew up with 1 bathroom for 6 people. Fun times....
Twas always fun when everyone was trying to get ready for work/school, eh. That was sometimes a bit of a mad scramble in our household of five, though Mom was usually up early so it was really just the rest of us.

Currently, two of us live in one house with two bathrooms...which suits both of us just fine!
Yeah, works pretty well. I actually mostly use the powder room downstairs and she uses the en suite. The main is mostly unused unless family is here or there's a problem in one of the others.

I don't recall seeing my parents wash. Dad did shift work. Mum was home all day. We kids had a weekly bath and took turns washing hands and faces at the kitchen sink before school. That was our only sink! We lived in a low income economy rental home.

We used the sink in the washroom, but this was pretty much the routine. Showering daily is a habit my wife got me into. I grew up with weekly baths and daily washing of face, hands, and eventually underarms at the sink.

Yes I forget that people used to wash less in old times, probably also because of colder temperatures in the house. I remember being quite shocked when a son who was caregiver of his mother told me he would wash her once a week- she was incontinent, so once a week really wasn’t a good idea. ( I think we got them home care after that)

Good morning! As we continue to muse on daily showers, of baths and daily washing of hands, face, etc., as well as other thoughts as may arise, we can think about preferences for shower or bathing in the tub, and why. The Coffee Cart is up and running, so let us gather round, for hot beverages, chat and friendships. All is ready, come join us!

My out-of-town friends did not come for the long-anticipated visit. Thanks Hurricane Lee. So, today, we were supposed to be on the Agawa Canyon Tour Train. I cancelled my tickets. We plan to get together in the spring...maybe in Stratford, or Niagara-on-the-Lake. I've been sad about this missed visit, but life goes on...I'm just lucky they are in my life at all after all this time.

I recently reconnected with my remaining childhood friends (one of us passed away in his forties) and we might do a Zoom or something. We are a bit scattered now, with one even living in the US due to his wife's career. Though their son is back in Canada going to university.

I bet the reconnecting feels great @Mendalla. Even if you are scattered, a destination visit might be worthwhile. My best friend from Grade 2 lives not far from me, but our connection has been spotty over the years...birthday phone calls, facebook, and very occasional meetings for lunch. She would sometimes come to a church service I led if it were in her neck of the woods. But this summer, we got together a few times on our shore property. We would talk our way out into the water and then paddle back to shore, talking all the way. It is so special to have a friend with shared history.

Raised in a mill town of textiles ... many hard spins!!! The stuff they believe without question is a large fabrication ... imagine the fringes ... they can't as anything beyond them is abyss malle ... malevolent/maleficent if they strayed?

So much more to gather ... pluralized as mores ... beyond the ET 's? Upstanding ... in the Wahl, once a field of chaos where stoning was usual ... limiting? Mental dispersal ... beat it out of them ...

Good morning! For reconnections with old friends, for plans to get together later on, because of hurricanes cancelling plans, for things like Zoom that makes conversations possible over distances, for all the other things that arise in the course of a day, this Room and the Coffee Cart therein are ready. The coffee is fresh, the tea water is hot, the goodies are available. Come join for conversation and hot beverages!

Nothing like waking up to find none of your company's offices have phone service. Came back up by 9 but this is not the first time. New provider is chosen and contracts signed but it will take months to switch everyone. Retirement is looking better all the time. We promoted the most senior member of the team after me so he's now in position to replace me if I do go at 60 like I've been thinking. And, frankly, he deserves it. He's been with me 8 years and has been the most solid IT guy I've ever worked with.

Good morning otherwise. Hope all are doing well today. I'm hearing from Americans who got their shot of the new COVID vaccine so it is out there. Has anyone heard when we'll get them in Canada, particularly Ontario?

Had an old ministry acquaintance speak of the thin line between genius and idiocy ... possibly failed in the connection between the nuts and those who bolt to the outside ... through a few ridiculous threads about what we are told about incarnation being straight forward!

Is that cranked or just screwy ... hypo twisted, or hyper for those looking for higher positions ... high jacked???

The masses can't see the abyss ... because of the cloud factor ... the buzz of people themselves ... leads to the edge, if you cannot see it coming ...

On top of that he eliminated another minister that was said to be outside the box and thus experiencing strange things to what is acceptable to the inner rings ... dead ringers? They have arrested learning syndrome ...

Just imagine what is in the eternal world ... as if it were god's ... some say that diabolical having a sense of in's and out's ... split of divined judgements?

Discrete bifurcation ...

Good morning. We had some heavier rain last night. It was nice to go to sleep with the sound of rain on the roof. We need it.

I'm coughing less and that is good. Hopefully this thing is breaking.

We're heading down to my sister's. I'll be happy to use her laundry facilities. I was going to do laundry on Thursday but these germs slayed me. It will be nice to have the drive and visit.

Words are hated as icons of hidden understanding ... intelligence? So they fly ... black flighty things ... like Hebrew across the page ...

Rare people as few ... understand ... for reason that's obscure!

Obscure is taken as abstract by many and not well absorbed!

This is the only info I am hearing here:

It is anticipated that the updated XBB COVID-19 vaccine formulations will be available in the coming weeks. Individuals should consider delaying their COVID-19 booster dose until the vaccine becomes available.
