I heard that libraries are not requested to supply sophisticated and complex books that the myths need to be simple humus ... composted?

Then the common reader as homo sapiens cannot see through the M'nours ... even knowing that koine was an "iel" for mostly unknowing and needing NU's from nothing like a nun ... a bit of affiliation for nothing ..I've even been told that psyche is nothing .... all that is accounted for is the protocol ... often regurgitated in stunning blind loss! The was wisdom is past ... done gone ...

Google and Bing Maps should offer a way to "pin" them or something. Actually, maybe it is possible? I'll have to see. I know where a couple are on my walking routes so can try.
 
We have a little free library in front of our church building and it gets a lot of use. There's a public school right next door & parents walking kids to school often check it out.

The church's name is stamped inside the book along with a request to return it in the future or pass it along to someone else.

The ones here are all listed on a google map. Our community league gave supplies to help build 5 a few years ago, there were already some existing ones. A board member mapped them, and even though she's not on the board anymore she has added the additional ones that people put up on their own after. We have 14. I had a bunch of baby books from when my nephews were young, some for free, others I got a set being sold for a few dollars. Took multiple walks with the books (didn't want to weigh myself down too much!), would hit up at least 2 libraries on each walk until I was rid of them.

Ours our actually well stocked, typically only space to put in 2 or 3 books at a time, and with baby books I figured it was best to spread them out anyway.
 
Books were hard for us too. When we moved from the GTA to BC, a mover looked at our book boxes with disdain even though they meant more money for us. Ultimately our weight was far more than the average 2 bedroom apartment.

We got rid of more books when we downsized to live in the fifth wheel. It was hard. Now I use the library and borrow from my sister. I get the free books on Kobo. I may buy the odd Kobo book. Now I've come to the point where I don't feel it is necessary to own books even though the idea of a home with a cozy library would be lovely.

Right now I have a stack of books waiting to be read. In full disclosure, there's also a small box of books in the cupboard that I just discovered. They will go to the little book share shelves at our winter park when I'm done with them

Yup.

So, today was another bizarrely busy day. Worked with D on house from 8 a.m. (because so hot) until about 12:30.

Then, one of the big guy's roommates died this morning. Not a surprise, he had advanced COPD and had been hospital often in the last year or so (and we drove to Emerg on Sunday with him and I put him in a wheelchair and put him in front of triage and we heard from his daughter later that he was in cardiac ICU). But big guy is on his way out of town, daughter wanted to get his room cleaned out TODAY. After big guy suggested to family a good way to dispose of his clothes, D wanted his clothes for her homeless/fragile breakfast people on Tuesdays (it is a sideline to our weekly breakfast day), so when we finished here, we drove over there, bagged all his clothes (fortunately they were all clean) and took them to the church (a solid hour of two old ladies packing and lugging s**t), then lunch at Timmy's (in the A/C) then an hour and a half floating in the pool, then I took her grocery shopping, then home, then purchased hemp seed oil for dog, because she is having a terrible day. Legs are not good at all, and she seemed a bit confused and staggery this morning. We almost wondered about a stroke (but she did a successful short walk with Jim), and she's improved as the day has gone on, and cooled off a bit here. The vet wanted to start her on a pain med, but you have take them to be monitored for blood work every month, because it can be hard on kidneys. I don't want her in pain, but it's kidney failure that ultimately kills many elderly critters, so why hasten it. And a monthly 1/2 hour car ride, for a dog that HATES the car, plus a blood draw (which requires muzzle and force), plus giving her pills, which she hates, and it's not worth it. I hate dogs getting old. I think I'm going to add a solid CBD regimen to the hemp seed oil.

So I'm sitting here in the still hot muggy air, wilted, bruised and exhausted, worrying about my dog. And the big guy is out of town until late Friday/early Saturday so there's no-one to feed me, lol.
 
Ok, were awaiting maintenance to find out why the pulsating bed isn't pulsating.

Grumpiness is growing in person lying on the non pulsating bed!
 
My grand dog had an episode where he was in pain so much that he couldn’t get up and snapped at junior. Vet put him on pain meds, those caused him a reaction. Took him off and he is on CBD treats- seems to work so far.
 
Good morning! Decluttering, especially dealing with books, aging dogs, backyard views, free libraries, beds that don't pulsate, all the other subjects that make up the day, we bring them to the Coffee Cart, where there is chatting, support, camaraderie, and hot beverages. Come on in and join in!

There are certain appreciations to be graced by fissure as we break from the work of the little people ... TGIF and the hole in cognizance ...
 
Good morning. We're looking forward to getting together with RVer friends today. One couple recently came back from a fishing trip in a gorgeous remote part of Vancouver Island. They have tuna, salmon and prawns for us. Yum. We'll have a potluck lunch and good visit.
 
So is summer over now in Southern Ontario? Nothing higher than 25 for the next week according to Environment Canada and some days under 20. Then again, we had a cool spell in August that ended with a three day heat wave. Who knows?

Weekend is here and just bits and bobs of work to do, nothing major. Life is pretty good and quiet for now.
