Nice to 'meet' you Busy Mom. You'll have to fill us in on how your busyness has evolved.
Hi Nancy
Nice to meet you as well! I joined wondercafe many years ago even before wondercafe 2. At the time my kids were little and I was a stay home mom. Wondercafe was like a life line for me and the wondercafe village helped support me my way through parenting, navigating life challenges and welcomed my kids too. In my time here I went back to work part time and eventually full time. I work at a library and I'm a licensed lay worship leader.

My kids are no longer little! All 3 have graduated from university/college and are finding their way in this crazy world. Not easy to be a 20 something. I'm still keeping busy, even though the nest is emptier than it was when I joined wondercafe.

Now your turn!

Time has flown, eh. My son is also graduated and working. Lives a fair distance from us so we mostly see him on Skype.

Time has certainly flown! I joined the original site in 2007 when it was one year old. It has been an important part of my life ever since.
That's a long time paradox 3. You will feel very connected to your friends here. I remember how important it was to me in my day-to-day routine to check in to wondercafe. Then life got in the way and I became too busymom. I've missed it. These exchanges today have meant a lot. It's a good place to come home to. ❤

Good morning! Monday has arrived! We welcome BusyMom, who posted over the weekend (the starter of this thread, and the thread on the original WC)' nice to catch up a bit on what's gone on over the years, and we also think about Seeler and her family these days. For these and other topics, the Coffee Cart is up and running. Join in!

I see in the news (Nooz) that dark chocolate is contaminated with lead and cadmium ... you just can't have anything pure in reality as it is gravid lye induced ... people will say as they will to get it ...

If a human eats everything ... do they become more toxic than the alternate ... their self in imagination ... deep in mined? Maybe ingrained in the grind ... the twining effect ... as one fiddles ...

Good morning Red Baron. I hope you are well. I Join you for a coffee and think about the Seeler family as the day begins. Cinnamon buns anyone?

I've been thinking about seeler and seelerman this morning. I had the privilege of meeting them at a wonderpicnic many years ago. It was a great gathering of friends, just what you'd expect from this group....fun, conversation, food, laughter. We gathered round for a campfire in the evening. Seelerman chatted for a long time with my youngest son and they got along so well. I remember Seelers laugh joining in with the others who were there. The circle started small with just a few starting the fire. As others wandered in, we scooched over to make room and welcome them in. There was room for all in the circle. A special time, a special place, a special memory.

This memory reminds me of this room. You keep the room warm, welcome people in and make room for them to join in the circle of caring and friendship. I've been a way for quite some time, and I am grateful for the welcome and feeling like I still have a place in this circle of friends.

I'll light a fire in the fireplace, and sit a while, feeling the warmth of wondercafe friends present here, and those who are an important part of the memories of this place.

I have to visit chansen's archive to confirm when I joined the original. We have have been here for 8, going on 9, years so probably similar. I know I was on when my tooth cracked and that's over a decade now ( the tooth finally got yanked in 2021 after renewed problems with the capped remnants).

I am sure Red will agree with me that we will happily poison ourselves. That cannot be a bad death.

I don't know why I joined and my mother told me I was crazy anyhow. I asked a lot of questions and found out about myself and som ministers told me I lied about my experiences ... they kept up with their myths ... I studied them too ... just as alein as me ... I guess something rube d off ...
