Room For All

I just woke from a nap and decided to take things gently for a while longer. I had a chunk of 'some sort of skin cancer' carved out of my back this morning. It goes to a lab for testing. The suggestion was to avoid lifting, fast movements etc. until the stitches settle down. I can handle that!

Is there room here for a madman caught in a bad situation where he could be proven not to bright ... to react by nuclear war so all evidence that he was in error will never come to the surface?

Question is what world leader or proposed leader am I speaking ... or could it me any of those that preach total emotions at the cost of a shrunken head?

If you process much ... compared to them you're out there ... part of what's beyond mortal .... immortal nonsense of just Zero Sum?

Escapism defined in a manner that they cannot grasp as crabs ... cancer? Crabs can consume yah ... this the populace of virtue diminishes ...

Explain to be again about brilliance and hidden illumination ... buried light in a tome ... literary crank! Defines how little we know of the eternal psyche ... it is vast and dark ... mysterious? Resembles Skye of myth ... tou athe Dannan? Paired Chi Ques ...

In word (as God) one never knows what will emerge ... huge analogy?

The stretch goes on contrary to those attempting to shrink heads ... to get the alternate head into Ide ... thus kew ered ...

It's lovely to have the windows open this evening! But it IS Thursday - so that's 'ride night' at the upscale coffee roaster at the end of my block. That usually means 40-60 motorcycles - mostly Harley's - dropping in for a coffee & chat with their buddies. It's pretty amazing to see them all lined up along the street - but gosh, so noisy when they arrive and leave!

Went on a garden nursery expedition to Terra & Northland (our favorite) earlier today with a friend - our favourite thing to do! I'm so glad she's also retired now & we get to 'go out and play'.

Yesterday arborists were pruning trees across the street at the LCBO - so I asked if they could dump all the chips in my driveway - which they did! Yay! Money saved! So I have about 2 cubic yards of chips that I started placing this afternoon. It's not hard work, but takes a while - but the day was gorgeous to be outside. Now I'm feeling pretty tired!

Good to be rid of that bit from your back Kay - hoping lab results are good, and you can be pampered a bit as that wound heals.

It was nice to enjoy a pedi with a friend this afternoon. We came home and watched the old West Side Story (we watched the new one the other day) and drank some wine. Nice afternoon.

Good morning! It is Friday, we won't mention the date. But as we open windows to the outside air, as we await test results, as we deal with all the stuff life tosses at us, let us relax and imbibe hot beverages, and chat with each other. The coffee cart is up and running, help yourself.

First day back at work. I made myself a button stating” Sorry, I am on modified duties, I will do what I can”.
My colleague, who has been hanging in there for the past seven weeks with some but not much help, seemed to be close to mental breakdown ( but felt a bit better at the end of the day with me being there). And I wouldn’t be surprised if she will get sick, because that’s often the way it goes once one relaxes a bit.
I thought we have been working on the edge before I left, but it can always get worse before its getting better.
My boss was concerned and asked how I was doing and would back me up if anybody complains. So far, so good. Someone brought treats in. People were happy to see me.
Retirement will have to wait 5 more years…

Good morning! As we hit the midpoint of May, and spring has finally moved in for awhile (hopefully), as we celebrate returns to work and other events and milestones, let us pause in our sojourning to gather round the coffee cart. All is ready, help yourself.

Aaaah ... what a nice day! Beautiful sunshine, working in the garden - got lots of my flower seedling starts planted - next week will do the tomatoes & pepper plants. Visited with a neighbour who may paint me a floor cloth for my front porch; another neighbour dropped by too - was good to catch up up on everyone's news. The aroma of shrimp risotto is wafting up the stairs ... I think I may need to go pour myself a nice glass of wine & settle in for the evening.

@Mrs.Anteater - so glad to hear your first day back went well! Love your button idea!

Sounds like a delightful and productive day, Carolla. We are still waiting for spring to arrive. It was snowing at breakfast time this morning. I continued to do nothing much. Swept a couple of floors, changed my library books, checked the computer etc.... Had a fun visit with older son who was in a humourous mood. Certainly more enjoyable than one of his gloomy moods.

Good morning!! Welcome to Sunday. For all the ongoing conversations, and, in some places, ongoing winterish weather, in others spring flooding, etc. we gather here to chat and commiserate, discuss, and support. All is ready, come and get it!
