Room For All

My sister and her hubby in Germany had friends from Austria for a weekend visit. Both vaccinated, tested before they left. When they returned to Austria, they tested positive. My sister and hubby have tested negative so far, but hubby developed symptoms he is hoping just to be a cold. We are al hoping that, too. They will continue to test themselves.

I am terribly a "do it yourself" person. Now that the Hippie's not around, I have accomplished some jobs that I probably shouldn't have. Changing the lightbulb in the very high back hall landing was one of them...
Well done! We, whose tool kits consist of a can of WD-40 and a roll of duct tape, salute you.

Good morning, all! As we continue to discuss home repairs, flus, colds, covid, and other topics, let us join round the coffee cart for joy beverages of all kinds. Enjoy.

I brought out my Christmas mugs and glasses yesterday. When will the coffee cart switch to red and green cups and mugs, I wonder?

The ducting can bring in fresh Ares ... already slippery! Sort of like mossy bed on the north side of the great tree ... where we are assimilated into the mystery to strip us of all we;;ve learned ... makes logic to some as well as Logos does ...

The things and non-things that one has to study in deep fashion ... often alone or with an intimate nature! Now there is an enigma ...

From there the simple life gets chaotic ... some say forming mental complex!

Mendalla, masked and distanced?
Of course, aside from lunch or if I am refreshing myself with some tea (if this is typical of these sessions, my tea consumption will at least double to keep myself somewhat awake and aware).

I vote November 25. No earlier. I actually get cranky about Christmas starting too early.

Christmas should stay in the wrapping paper closet until it is nearly Christmas. I am aggravated, and finally bored, by the whole thing long before the calendar day. So many ads for things no one needs, so much plastic, glitter and aggressive marketing.

Yes all of that is true. But I like to start very slowly. I don't full out decorate until Advent I.

And after Christmas I pack it away within a day or two.

Thank the gods (all others) that Sante has a season of rest given the demands on the spirit ... a vestige of what is unseen?

Haven't been there yet?

I have started using a few holiday coffee mugs, but the rest of the decorations, such as they are, will wait for a bit.

Last year after Christmas I did a big downsizing of all our Christmas stuff. I filled a big bin that went to donation a few weeks ago.

Now I only have things that I actually use or feel very sentimental about.

Sentimental Journey as we tunnel through the grime of the past ... there are icons buried in dem dere Wahls ...

Alternatively the dirt is behind or under the tapestry! Thank the one operating the broom ... another silent persona?

Imagine my horror when I got to work on Monday to discover that Christmas music had been implemented. It's gonna be a long 5 or 6 weeks...

Ugh. I think Christmas music in November should be treated as a public health issue. Can't be good for the mental health of people who get the "Christmas blues".

It's what I like about the CBC. They never start Christmas music before the beginning of Advent.

There's a Christmas store on the main street of a little village I know. It plays Christmas music year round. This summer I asked the owner if she gets tired of it. She said no because she selects it very carefully. And she doesn't start playing her favorite material until a few weeks before Christmas.
