That type of service isn't available here from the health system - not even if I willingly pay. I count myself lucky that I can pay someone to come to my house to do what she can. There are things she (wisely) won't touch.

Wyrd that you have no equivalent. This a little chain called "Feet for Life". They do all kinds of "extended health care" stuff like I claimed, but also have a medical team with hospital privileges to do up to surgery within the health care system.

I've heard of foot care clinics here but all the ones I know of are mobile and will often set up at pharmacies. There may well be brick and mortar locations too, just haven't looked into them and I assume similar services with podiatrists .

Good morning, all! For the wonders of nature, for the work of church camps, let us give thanks, and ponder. The coffee cart is up and running, all kinds of warming bevvies are ready. Help yourself.

And a Happy Earth Day to all of my friends here. Are you doing anything in particular to mark the day?

No plans, really. If the weather was nicer, might go to the valley on the west side of my neighbourhood but it is a bit chilly for long walks here today. Had some flakes of snow dancing around even.

Yes - it's been very chilly here too Mendalla! So I also have been mostly inside. Baked some sourdough baguettes today - new recipe and they're pretty good! I wrapped one in a pretty napkin, put a nice bow on it & then put a candle in it - delivered to my neighbour for her Earth Day Birth Day celebration. Tonight I am listening to an interesting webinar on Spirituality & Food - the speaker & topic line up is very interesting & last week's opening session was terrific. Tonight the focus is on Indigenous foods & spirituality. So I guess that's kind of earth related :-)

I'm been reading and sleeping most of the day. I've had a bad GI day today. Not sure what I ate. On the plus side, it's too cold to be outside anyhow

Yes, that wind was wicked cold today. We had a skiff of snow this a.m., which stuck a bit, delighting Lucy, although I warned her it might be the last. And she was quite disgruntled when it had all melted from the backyard by about 11 a.m.

Good morning, all! We've made it to Friday. For those who had other good reasons to relax yesterday, we give thanks for lousy weather conditions that made staying in more sensible. Hopefully the snowing in this neighbourhood will take a break for awhile, like maybe tll December. In the meantime, we have warming beverages to combat the chill outside. Let us gather round the coffee cart, and find support from and give support to each other.

Thanks for the coffee.

We have excitement in our house. A large dead tree is coming down at our driveway entranceway It has been a bit worrisome, as is our tree but could fall on neighbours vehicles.

TIMBERRRRRR!

We had a juniper taken down last summer. Probably 20' tall. Was leaning rather worrisomely towards a neighbour's place.

Good morning. Had insomnia last night. Took 3 hours to get to sleep and no idea why. Not stressed about anything, had a quiet evening. Just could not fall asleep.

So,
Sleep Yawn GIF

I struggle with it too - but mine is mostly 'middle insomnia' - waking after a few hours sleep, then being awake for a few hours before falling back to sleep.
I have had that, too, but it doesn't usually last as long as when I have trouble falling asleep.

We have so many dead ash trees that we have taken down, no shortage of firewood here.
Neighbour across the road is over with his trailer, and we have someone coming tomorrow to take the rest.
