And huge treat today. I've been largely ignoring my feet since I retired, and the college "cheap pedi" offered by the aesthetics students was less available.

However, I've been aware of the precariousness of this "one-leg balancing" as I try to clip thickening/splitting toenails with less-than-clear vision of what I'm doing. Decided to go for a medical foot care appointment today. Lovely. My feet are really clean, nails cut properly, moisturized, calluses and eczema patches looked at and treated. Wonderful use of extended health care benefits. Felt almost bouncy this afternoon at work!

Good morning! How is everyone? From babies, and the naming thereof; herds of deer including fawns; to pedicures, medical and otherwise, the topics keep popping up like corn. Let us gather round the coffee cart with all manner of hot beverages, and continue to converse.

There's a foot clinic quite close that I drive by frequently. It's a medical clinic, where they treat all sorts of "real" foot and leg problems, but they offer "medical foot care" services, primarily to seniors. So, it's open, with proper COVID protocols.

We have had to change our moving plans for May. We had planned to head to the mainland on the 18th. Now that BC has put restrictions on travel we had to switch gears. Now we're here until the 25th. We'll be in a different site, but we'll be here. Then we'll see what happens

It affects moving too?
I know someone who rushed to book their trip to BC before the restrictions come in SMH.

Snow. It's snowing. Wet snow and not staying, so I guess it is more like white, fluffy rain, but once it cools down tonight...:santa:

One of my staff is moving at the end of the month and there are no restrictions here that she has mentioned. She's been working for me since last Fall but still lives a couple hours away and works remote. It has not been an issue given that so are most of us at head office, but having her local will be nice once we can go back.

This is clearly a situation (pandemic) that those of the mobile lifestyle/modern gypsies, and their providers of service, haven't been able to think through very clearly.

If you're saying we haven't been able to think through clearly, believe me we have been thinking and talking and trying to figure out how to respond. We can adapt.

Not moving as in moving to a new town. Moving as in towing the fifth wheel and heading out on the road
Moving to a new site though right? Was the original plan.
The person I know who is flying there will be moving but this isn't a part of the move. So work will happen on the property so excuses could likely be found but it's most a vacation/house guest situation. *sigh*

Good morning, all! Moving is a big pain, even in the best of circumstances. Current situation makes it much, much more so, For those who are doing so, or have recently done so, of whose plans have been disrupted, let us remember, as we gather round the coffee cart for hot drinks of all kinds. Enjoy.

We can only stay in this park for 8 months. The park is flexible for those who need a little more time. We're still within our 8 months and had changed our original reservation to leave early. We chose this housing arrangement because we wanted to spend summers travelling around Canada with more time spent in Ontario. Life has had other plans. So for me "moving" is a hopeful realization of part of our original plan. If we'd wanted to be completely stationary we would have found sticks and bricks housing.

Your foot job sounds wonderful. That type of service isn't available here from the health system - not even if I willingly pay. I count myself lucky that I can pay someone to come to my house to do what she can. There are things she (wisely) won't touch. I was waiting for an appointment with a podiatrist before Covid arrived - still waiting. Apparently I need to practise patience.
