Have not talked to her since Yesterday just before I posted upthread but my mother's intuition says she is doing well ... she is in a 'safe' space ... she has just posted a picture ... nothing short of a miracle considering what she looked like 4 days ago. She can be a master of disguise ... still I think this picture, just taken, honestly portrays that she is valiantly willing to keep on keeping on. See for yourself ...miraclesarah.jpg

And I'll have a green tea, please. I've had my single plain black coffee of the day (this spice foolishness really seems to require that one takes cream, and I have an inordinate revulsion to any milk-type product in any tea or coffee drink).

I had a lovely visit and garden tour and tea with a favorite master gardener friend of mine yesterday afternoon and another mutual friend (church). Properly distanced in the back yard. Her gardens are so lovely, and she's done so much in the couple of years she's been here. Many of the plants came from her family farm before she sold it.

I've brought some cupcakes to add the cart. Whichever one you choose will be your favourite flavour. Of course, to honour the upcoming fall season, pumpkin spice is there along with apple spice. Not in the same muffin of course. Unless that's what you want. This is magic of course.
 
Oooo - that was fun! I decided it was time to pull out all the old jewelry - mostly inherited - that's been languishing in my top secret storage spot for many decades. Gold is at a high value at the moment - so it's a good time to sell. So, having sorted most of it and generally figuring out value from a gold website & with help of neighbour who works at Birks, off I went to my appointment this morning. Got even more $$$ than I anticipated! So I took that cheque straight to the bank!
 
Sounds like a great meal! Nothing here to compare with that, only warm beverages and maybe donuts. Enjoy.

See, this is where pumpkin spice belongs. In baking. It does not, I repeat, does not belong in tea. Probably not coffee either, but I shall leave that to the coffee drinkers.
