Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

Coffee cart is ready to fill your hot beverage needs. If the Wonderbar is still open (or at least unlocked) we can find the makings for Irish coffee or hot rum toddies, for those who desire a bit more oomph from their morning cuppa or mugga.

Will take coffee for now. Might be back later for one of those shots if we can get into the Wonderbar. c(_)

A very pleasant late evening bevvy is a jasmine green tea with a little honey, maybe a wee bit of spiced rum, and a squeeze of fresh lemon.

Good morning! The cart is ready for refills on tea, and coffee. I think it might be Friday? Anyway, enjoy.

I'm on my first coffee still. Looking forward to my second. Thanks.

I will share some banana bread made by my sister-in-law

I am off today, grabbing an herbal tea (lavender and raspberry mix) and am settling down to listen to a free webinar about pressure wounds.

I forgot to tell everyone earlier this week...Monday, actually....the 'snowbirds' flew overhead. The neighbourhood gathered on sidewalks, all looking up, talking, smiling, taking pictures. The sky was the bluest I've ever seen. It was SO beautiful.

I saw them today, across the lake at one point. They aren't on 'military time' haha, they were late! Saw them past their stated landing time. I took some bad pictures :) Sun was out, it was difficult to see on my screen and I didn't zoom in.

As we celebrate the planes flying overhead in salute, may we also salute the day and the front line workers, raising cups and mugs in tribute.

They were about 10 minutes early. Here.
The two passes over the downtown area and the river and were done at about the time they were expected to arrive. People who stepped out on their balconies at what they thought was a few minutes to spare, would have missed them.

We had gone early to the riverside park, usually called 'The Green', and were in a good position to see them sweeping down and making terms before they roared off.

They were supposed to come over my town but then changed plans and went a different route. A couple days later on their way out they were to come again. We all went out in front of the hospital but it was freezing wind and they were fifteen minutes late, by then, I had gone back inside, thinking they were not coming. I wasn't very inspired.

Nice day here today. Cleaned the garage, got the mower out and gave the lawn its first pass of the season. The mower needs a service but we'll wait and see how the pandemic goes. It works for now, just overdue for an oil change and a new blade. Supposed to turn rather foul starting tomorrow afternoon, with 30-60mm of rain falling over tomorrow and Victoria Day and a risk of thunderstorms. Still better than 3-6cm of the white stuff, I guess.

My son's laptops sound quit working two weeks ago. He tried everything, then he asked me and he tried more. Nothing would fix it.
Dropped it off two weeks ago for a day. I could get my headset to play sound, until i switched to the default speakers. Then, unless i uninstalled driver and reinstalled, they didn't work.

Got it back for a few more days. Put a ticket in. Still no luck.

Had it today, ticket had been answered. Turned outs lots of systems by this company had same error. They'd been working on it, but only resolved two days ago and released new drivers

Pulled down new drivers, a refreshed new install of an app, and rebooted.

All is well. Sound plays

I hate driver issues.
