OK that is totally weird. Last I heard BethAnne was sure her water was to blame for most of her symptoms and now you too feel that you might have been poisoned by your water. Staying tuned for further updates....

and on a more serious note: Glad you are being persistent in figuring things out Chemgal. May a diagnosis make treatment easier and more specific.
 
Water is very serious .... leading to fluid thoughts when the hard parts aren't circumvented .... blown off! Leaves the resolved salts in the lower pool while essence escapes vaporous ... some say morning vespers ... as they skim and skip along!

I was just reading Carolla's comment about her experience at a new-to-her church on another thread. I wanted to post....that I would so love to go to a church like that. But somehow I am more socially active in my head than in actual fact. CBC radio had a program (I was listening as driving) that talked about people who keep quiet about their beliefs. I heard a doctor who is anti-abortion speak. I really related to her. Although I live in a family of sisters and a mother who are progressive thinkers, my husband and one son are not. They speak so loudly and often about things in such a way that I find myself grinding my teeth. I often keep quiet rather than start a fruitless argument. Both are intensely loving and loyal individuals. But when they talk about indigenous concerns, or gun control, or poverty, or politics, or the environment....I tune out. So, my social activism is more minimal than I might otherwise engage in because I would have to do it outside of my family rather than with my family. One son, though, is becoming an environmental activist, so that works for me!
 
Buried an old classmate yesterday ...

He chose assisted escape as his MS progressed ... and a staunch Catholic Family supported him because of their observation of the severe trauma he was going through! Some folk are piously against that and do not show any movements ... thus lack of emotion?

Something worth stopping and considering in context! There may be additional metaphors ... with flighty understanding these can represent aerei small ditties, so said!

Nothing is darker than a divine mind ... in two parts of emotional/intelligence! A chap named Dan elaborated on the topical nature ...
 
Pitching will stop leaks in vessels ... thus iddy bitty pitching ... and friends you haven't seen for 60 years returning to be buried in your back yard!

Friendly tackiness is connective ... I miss seeing these folks when still alive ...
 
Sorry to hear, Luce. My best friend's husband chose to go the same way, and she said she would highly recommend it to anyone...It was respectful and peaceful, as opposed to the other way he was destined to die.
 
A classmate of mine from college passed away this weekend, she was 31. I haven’t talked to her since graduation but was saddened to read of her passing. Her obituary didn’t give details but it seems she passed from breast cancer. She had a beautiful personality.

Sorry, it's hard to hear of someone we know passing, even if no longer close.
 
Ugh what a day with with stuff. My appointment was cancelled with my GP, can't see her until Nov 11. I spent at least 30 minutes on hold trying to get things sorted out.
I did a walk in expecting to see a different doctor based on what I was told on the phone. Luckily I did see my GP. She can't do much for me at this point. Chemguy has a requistion to be tested - that's something my specialist can't offer. We'll have a discussion about the receptionist at my actual appointment.
Had an eye appointment too, nothing was seen that is directly connected. I may need glasses but they can't tell for certain, I need to go back after treating dry eyes.

I had a great day actually. I'm back to baking soudough bread & buns after a summer hiatus - the house smells so great! And went over to the school garden at noon & spent time harvesting tomatoes with my little helpers - SO much fun to spend time with them. They are so curious, excited, fascinated and fascinating :-) I love them. We cut apart our tomato vines & plants - & discovered so many green tomatoes still hiding out in there! Then of course they had to be counted ... but at about 53 the bell rang & so the rest got estimated, scooped into a big bucket & carried proudly in to show their teacher :-) We also dug up what remained of our funny looking little heritage carrots - and the beets that didn't grow actual beets! Hoping to get back later in the week or next week to plant some garlic. So that was great fun.
 
Is it too late to dig in the garlic? We are having minus tempertures at night. I am debating if it is actually worth it. Last years garlic grew to make one clove into two-double the harvest, but since I want to plant more garlic, I basically have toplant almost all I got this year.

With feeling unwell I haven't got to mine yet. It's currently -10. Hopefully when it warms up a bit I can manage.

This is my first year to plant garlic. Timing would depend on what zone you are in. Here we are zone 5 and haven't even had a hard frost yet, so the soil is still quite workable. The custodian at the school where my kids garden is says he usually plants his in mid November!
 
I just saw a motorcycle accident on the opposite side of the road right by a major intersection, while I was on the bus about to turn the other direction - a couple of minutes after it happened I'm guessing - person, looked like it was probably a female, was flat on their back not moving at all. A couple of people were standing by. Ambulances screeched by a minute later. I hope this person survives with minimal/ no lasting injuries. :(
 
You know how they say that only the good die young? Well, I guess it's true. A contractor who's done work for both my employer and me personally died last weekend at the too-young age of 64. Terrific guy to work with, very friendly and outgoing. We had some great conversations even outside of the jobs he was doing. And he was not a contractor who cut corners or played games. He was hard-working and perfectionist, often redoing work on his time and dime when he wasn't happy with the result. He will be missed.
