I agree - arnica is great for bruises & soft tissue injury!
I am in 100% agreement. Arnica was a staple in the medicine cabinet of my childhood.

I briefly had an MD in Vancouver who was also trained as an ND (and homeopath) in England, which is unique and I respect that - but I think he caught s**t from the College about it.. I had a bruised eyeball from some dirt flying into my eye or something - it looked much worse than it was - and he told me to buy the arnica pellets/ tiny pills from a holistic medicine store down the road. And they helped. After that I noticed the cream - and as long as I think about having some around - yes it does work. It soothes muscles too.I am in 100% agreement. Yikes that's a lot for 1 load! I used to have to run the washing machine before even doing a load because of other people putting in too much detergent. I would hope that at least the laundry mat keeps the machines clean.I am out doing laundry because the house washer broke down on Thurs and is getting replaced on Monday (they bought a new set which was not necessary because it was only the washer that was broken...my mom wanted a complete new front loading set from Home Depot...so they got one...they can't tell me finances are really that tight - I sent them ads for used ones in good condition and discounted lease to own ones between $250-400 similar to what they had that I offered to help pay for thinking they were just buying a washing machine...but no, they didn't like my idea and paid about $1500 - more like $2000 for both, "smart machines" - the hypocrisy is noticeable seeing as they get after my for going for coffee and spending money at Value Village ). It cost me $6.50 for a regular load at the laundromat. That was a bit much...and I brought my own detergent. But, I'm now relaxing in the air conditioned Starbucks next door and will head back on the bus. I was just able to squeeze my laundry bag into my walker basket. It's really been handy!![]()
That’s too bad. I hope you feel better soon Mrs. A!I had to cancel my Germany trip for some health issues. Did not get the appointment at the specialist until the day before my departure and considering that it then would be a pre existing condition and I might end up with a big bill in Euros which I can’t afford, I felt I rather stay here until I know what’s going on. My feeling is that there might be an operation in the future.
My mom was disappointed , but it feels ok to me. The weather in NS is quite pleasant at the moment. I haven’t had a staycation for a while. I just hope that the travel cancelation insurance will accept my submission.
Yeah, the machines are clean. It’s supposed to be one of the better laundromats in town (although there aren’t very many).Yikes that's a lot for 1 load! Not too spectacular. They were front loaders - I chatted with the staff person as I was the only one left in there waiting for the dryer - I asked if they sell their machines when they get old, hoping to get an idea of cost, as that was still on my mind (many many years ago I worked near there and the laundromat was brand new and they had regular old-style machines). He said these ones are 10 yrs old and they’ve never sold theirs, that he’s aware of. I can’t say my clothes look any cleaner than normal. It’s in a strip mall by the university. I think that’s why it’s pricey...ripping off students because they can.I'm sorry to hear of your cancelled trip @Mrs.Anteater. i certainly understand your reasons for concern about the pre-existing condition. I hope you can enjoy staycation time.
$6.50 per load of laundry? Wow. That puts my $2.50 into perspective. I hope the laundromat had spectacular machines.
I like arnica for some joint pain. It really helps and is better than Voltaren.

I’ve lived in a few apartment with coin or prepaid card laundry. It’s pretty much the same thing. I had a few things that I needed to wash before Monday night/ tues morning...so I’m glad it was an option. My parents finished the load they started when the machine conked out, over at the neighbours’, but I didn’t want to bother them.Sorry to hear about the cancelled travels plans, @Mrs.Anteater That would be a disappointment all the way round. And I never did like laundromats that much. The last time I willingly used one it was about a dollar to wash and fifty cents to dry a load. Yes, it's been a while. I try to avoid those places.
