Bit early for a pint there, but I am standing in the Guinness brewery in Dublin, so I will get a couple casks hooked up for later.

Hi, y'all. Hope all is well. Back more often next week when I get home.
That's the wicked dark brew that tastes like burnt molasses and crankcase grease?

@Mendalla "Counteract" is right. Just the thought of Guiness makes me need to counteract...maybe a double espresso...

Spirits de Noire ... like the dregs of the creatures of the night reaching up to draw you into rest ... a mythological state for those that never sleep and tweet all night?

Sometime outside powers get a grip on those too active for their own good ... and that of the whole environment ... utopian stuff for the dystopian so as to bring down the curtain on a state of whatever ... general unknowns that many realists deny? Beyond many as NDE's!

Hoo Dah Thought ...

Save some Guinness for me. Nectar of the gods that is.

My grandmother, born in the late 19th century, was a noted temperance advocate (her father, who was bipolar, in fact, was labelled a "drunk"). In her later years, though, she would often have half a bottle of stout in the early evening, to stimulate her appetite for supper.

Good morning, good morning, good morning to all. It's overcast today but still a nice day. Not too hot.
I'll start the coffee and get the eggs ready to scramble. Bacon will be crisp, pancakes with maple syrup or homemade jam, and a fruit cup. There is even home baked beans for those who like beans at breakfast. Personally, I always think baked beans as Saturday night supper.
Not much going on today, but the pride parade will be after church tomorrow.

Thanks, Seeler, I've got the clean cups and mugs ready. Bacon smells good.

Bean sandwiches are a legacy ... thus the squeeze! May degrade into classic smoked meat ... kosher? Dark desert lads and lassies ... steering sheeps!

Everyone needs assistance in dream directions ... bean we arrive here knowing naught!

Good morning. I was awoken by growling animals in the backyard and haven't been able to fall back asleep yet.

Bruise update: two days ago it was still black and blue and dark brown. It looked like a donut with a small hole in the middle - the streaks went away...those were from the blood collecting where the gauze/ bandage made an imprint. I bought arnica cream a couple of days ago. Yes it's homeopathic, and yes it helps bruises, I swear! I think this will be gone in a couple of days. Otherwise, on Thurs. it looked like it would take another week. I just pulled a big bandaid off and there's some skin irritation from the adhesive but otherwise I am amazed at how much it's healed since yesterday afternoon!

I actually don't drink anymore...I can have an occassional glass of beer safely (doc said so) but I tend not to due to my meds. There's a beer here called Dark Matter that has a bit of a cult following, and the majority of restaurants have it on tap...it tastes similar to Guinness.

By the way, I don't consider this a big deal, I'm just watching it change with curiosity because it was so unexpectedly nasty and odd looking.

There are people that say that dark matter and dark energy doesn't exist because you can't see it!

Then some strange power gave us the scripted word in dark hues ... just to juggle with our darker side of soul ...

There appears to be some humour hidden there ... perhaps!

Maybe just for contrast and conflict in the black and white between the red and yellow ... aboriginal medi-sin wheel?

Despite my usual scepticism, I have seen concrete results from 2 homeopathic remedies (I'm sure there are more that might work well) -- arnica, like you mentioned and apis to take during mosquito/bee/black fly season. It won't keep the little buggers from stinging/biting, but it minimizes the itching afterward...at least that's what I found.
Bruising fades faster using arnica. I've tested that repeatedly. Not sure these work for everyone, but they certainly work for me.
If you are vegan or find the use of crushed bees repugnant, (and I do but will still use/recommend it) it'll gross you out. I'm not a vegetarian, so it would be hypocritical for me to be object.

Went for a walk on the dykes in Wolfville. A couple asked me for the nearest cafe. And then they wanted to know what those little black bugs were. They were from Winnipeg, and apparently, black flies are much bigger in Winnipeg.
So, @GiancarloZ , if you want to enjoy smaller black flies, just come to Nova Scotia.
Now, the question: are the proportionally getting smaller as you go east, and if so, how big are they in BC, Ontario and are they even smaller in Newfoundland?

Today I helped Seelerman bottle some beer- the first he has made in a decade or more. I had forgotten how much work goes into the process. He has been busy all week. Today is the first time he asked for my help in siphoning it from the carboy into the bottles. The least I can do. I think we made for dozen bottles; more than he will drink in the next six months, but it's nice to have some to offer a friend who drops by.
Is beer is pale gold, not dark.
