Picked 16 boxes of strawberries in 75 minutes right after they opened up at 8 am. It wasn’t too hot and the bugs weren’t too bad either. Made strawberry shortcake myself, first time the biscuits actually worked out.
Too all afternoon to get those strawberries into my freezer.
 
Happy Monday! (well, as happy as possible under the circumstances). The coffee cart and tea caddy are ready to supply their comforting, warming beverages. Enjoy.

The day is beautiful here - sunny, not too hot, a little breeze, no humidity to complain of :-) Good day for some gardening I think!!

And a beautiful day it is! It's been pleasantly busy so far for me. After breakfast I popped over to the school garden - met the organizing teacher there & had a good chat - did some weeding, planting, watering :-) Then off to meet a new minister in a neighbouring church to have some discussion about our Mississauga Futures group - great to have conversation with her & find many commonalities. We had coffee at a new cafe in our neighbourhood & had lots of good welcoming conversation with the young owners/operators there - will get my fb review/promotion up later today. Then I visited a couple of other new businesses that have opened in this block - to say welcome, and so I can know what they're up to and be able to support the business & promote it to others in my community. Now lunch. And this afternoon I'm off to the church to help with 'snack' at band camp - so that should also be interesting & fun. Tomorrow off to Five Oaks to do some garden work there, and then in the evening to a community meeting re Indwell housing project. Good week!!
 
Good morning. I started the day with very good news. I had a follow-up bone scan yesterday. The oncologist called to say it was a good scan. There had been a spot on the first one that wasn't there now. They don't know what it was and will treat it aggressively with radiation anyway. There was no spread which is more important. It was good to hear this.

And from me, as well. Hoping that the next year provides you with everything you need for love, comfort and growth.

Pleasant, busy day. Up at 6 to take dog for swim and walk. VBC for a few minutes after 8, with props for today. Quick rehearsal. Left early to work on Friday lunch invitation on home computer. Birthday lunch with both sisters for baby sister at our fav all you can eat Japanese. (Although said "baby" is currently very anti-Japan because of the renewed whaling initiative, we all agreed that this restaurant has really very little authentically Japanese about it, from owners on down, lol.) Then a two hour Qi Gong Intensive (as if anything Qi Gong-ish could be 'intensive', lol). Props ready for tomorrow's play; need to make some ham and pickle sandwiches for tomorrow's pot luck. And have a bit of supper of some sort, although I think I'm still half-full from lunch...
