@Mrs.Anteater - that sounds like a terrific get-away - I hope you have decent weather, but no matter, you will have good fellowship and fun times together. A younger friend of mine is Quaker & she goes with her husband and 2 kids every summer to Quaker Camp for a week - the pictures are always so amazing.
She must be going to Canadian Yearly Meeting in Winnipeg in August. The weather here is cold. Zero degrees at night.I am glad I will be in the main lodge which is heated, some people are staying in the unheated cabins, campers and one in a tent.

we did get rain yesterday but not enough to put out the 400 hectacre fire south west of us. We need more rain-a steady drizzle -no lightning.

My oldest is considering fighting fires for the summer.

It's a sunny day here after rain yesterday. I don't think we got enough rain to make a difference.

I'm thankful to be feeling better today. I felt kind of crappy yesterday and Monday. Sundays were my down days when I started this. Now I'm not sure which day it will hit. Plus it's cumulative. as long as the drug is doing its job I guess.

Sunny here, too. I'm a bit of a zombie today. Didn't sleep well. I blame cutting the grass and fighting with the mower (though it eventually turned out to be me misadjusting the height of the mower).

I don't want to minimize what you are going through, as being sick with anything is never fun let alone something that is serious but I'm glad you're tolerating the medications so well. Feeling down for a few days, a night or 2 of not being able to sleep are pretty decent when it comes to side effects of some of the stuff you're on. I hope your treatment period remains that well and once the treatments are done you'll be done with side effects :)

I don't think the drugs could have shrunk it as dramatically as they have unless they were potentially toxic to other cells, so it's gonna be a bit cumulative. You have demonstrated a lot of self-care along the way, and that helps tremendously. As do good companions, on any path, and you are blessed with those, as well.

I've had a strange day, mainly just a deeply honest day. Bible study leader was our youth minister. talk that went with it was out of the ordinary (wtf does 'glorify' mean? vis a vis love?), then a lunch visit with an old friend (literally, 90 and going strong) and some deep honesty there; the old guy called tonight, and it was gentle but wrenching.

@BetteTheRed - a gentle wrench, or a harsh wrench ... still a wrench. Sending warm hugs your way tonight. Maybe it's that geomagnetic thing that the sun is doing that's making for such a strange day - look up to the northern sky tonight if it is clear - northern lights may be visible tonight & tomorrow night.

Good morning, all! Time to rise and shine! The sun is putting in a special guest star appearance here at the moment. Let us salute the occasion with warm drinks of all kinds!

Only 333 pages to go before the 999 +1 giving the Muse'n ... or how the "M" goes on to the next step ... at that point we wont remember the present stuff unless beyond present institutionalization! Leaving us wont on ... noodling?

POTUS is like that ...

We are actually expecting some sun today too. Perhaps I'll get out for a brisk walk. Meanwhile I'm enjoying a banana for breakfast along with my toast. Who will join me?

Yes - it's finally looking like a beautiful spring day here too! Trees are bursting open their leaves, daffodils are brightening the landscape, peonies & ferns are growing at amazing rates, some hostas are beginning to unfurl leaves, others are are just poking through the soil, mama red finch was feeding her little one at my feeder today ... aaaahhh ... spring! Wishing everyone a day that brings you some joy.

Third nice day in a row here. Trying not to enjoy it too much so I'm not too disappointed when it inevitably comes to a conclusion. This weekend isn't looking too promising but I've got most of my outdoor stuff done so not a huge disaster, though I would like to get some biking in finally.

It's typical for May long weekend here, drop in temperature, I felt quite chilly yesterday. No snow in our forecast at least and we're past the lowest point already, which last week was predicted to actually fall on the weekend, Monday looks like it should be fairly nice, hopefully nice gardening weather as this week I either needed a rest or it wasn't nice enough to be out there planting.

Good morning, all! Beginning of a holiday weekend for many of us. Let us begin with hot bev's. Enjoy and stay safe.
