Room For All

Son, and his partner, and our grandbaby were to be here for dinner.
The storm in S. ontario, with all the snow, meant it wasn't safe for the family to come, just my son on the way home from work....so, it was just my spouse, myself and my boys.
It seems each time they come lately, there has been a storm , and to be fair, they have driven when they shouldn't have. We too have driven in bad conditions. It hasn't been a fun winter.

Now, as my son left to go home, a deer ran out in front of him, just a few doors down. He got it, but, just barely. Not much damage, but, still...ugh.

I am ready for spring, I think.

Yup - spring ... YOU ARE WELCOME HERE & NOW!! Glad your son wasn't injured in the collision with the deer.

I was out tonight to my volunteer gig at The Compass - knitting group, followed by women's group. One of the knitters who I taught to purl, then to read a pattern over the past couple of weeks, was SO proud of herself! She showed me some great squares she knit in the past two weeks. People seemed to be in reasonably good spirits tonight. After being a consistent weekly volunteer since early January, I'm getting to know the women better & they are more talkative. It was a small group, with a few additional men who are homeless and came by to await a ride to the local 'out of the cold' shelter at an area church - so they were invited for dinner too. Next week we will do something to celebrate International Women's Day :-)

Good morning! Turning up the lights, straightening up the throw pillows and cushions, redraping the afghan over the back of the couch. Setting up the coffeemaker and kettle; how water available soon for tea and other warming beverages. Coffee merrily brewing.

Ahhhhhhh the timeline is scroo'd ... kind of a shelled fishy thing ...

Then there's the thing about letting the light shine; rest assured due to powers someone will cover up vast expanses of knowledge for the sake of covenant and institutionalization.

Rest assured pure science is no better for such power is surely corrupted as the AÐ'm thing in Eve's timeline ... where the stag had gotten drink ... drunk? OHS hite lost it ...

Tis human Eire god is out of it ...

Okay, I am trying to figure what is going on with my joints and muscles. It seems like every few days, another one is getting hurt, though they also seem to heal quickly. I've had neck pain, thigh/hip pain, wrist pain, elbow pain. I am fairly sure I can tie the latter two to shovelling and scraping ice on the driveway and the others to the terrible lounge chairs at the resort but, still, it seems weird that every 3 or so days, something else hurts and then goes away again in a day or two.

Aaah Mendalla - age is creeping up on you! Aches & pains coming & going ... keeps us entertained I suppose :-)

I'm off tomorrow to the first meeting of our new UC Horseshoe Falls Regional Council. Curious to see what's on the business agenda; there are a few workshops in the afternoon. Should be a good day - and I'm driving with Birthstone so that's always good discussion time.

@Mendalla , hope you get better soon.
I had many many weird conditions and pains popping up with Fall and early Winter. They're mostly gone now.
Most of them were skin related. And also some muscular pain.

Winnipeg weather is SO crazy. We're seeing temperatures getting at -10, -9 and even -5 lately. Lots of sunshine and melting snow.
It almost feels like it's already Spring. I hope it keeps warming like this.

Today, I was helping a friend with her fundraiser for Guatemala : "Tea with Old Bags"
Over 600 purses setup for sale tomorrow afternoon
Made 100 scones over the last week, and froze them, - they are ready for baking tomorrow.
Looking forward to it.
Hoping people show up!
