Oh my. I remember this case so vividely - I was working for the Interlocutor for Metis and Non-Status Indians so I saw all the news reports come across my desk and it was the first time I really understood the problem of missing and murdered Aboriginal people. I hope they find the body - so very sad. I didn't know/had forgotten that she was a twin.I am here too. Hope the week goes well.
Tamra Keepness, a well known little girl ( a twin) went missing 10 years ago in July. We think of her often through the years but no clue was found. There is still a police task group and a reward is still offered. Police are still sure someone knows something.
Yesterday someone ( no real name) posted on Reddit "look in a well". It was accompanied by a map.
Startling.
Not sure if I did the right thing this morning.
My calm morning was disturbed by nightclerk clearly trying to appease someone on the phone.
Next, the person (a tall man in his late 50's), showed up at the desk and berated staff.
He then proceeded to be demanding, not letting them review quietly.
He walked away, then came back and was obnoxious as he couldn't figure out how to get online.
When the manager arrived, he berated her as well.
Afterwards, I went to them and said that I was sorry they had to put up with this behaviour. I could see how some of the younger day staff were cringing under his verbal atacks.
I then went to him and advised him that bullying behaviour is not acceptable under any circumstance.
Should I have said something earlier? Should I have never said anything. I don't know. A bully may never realize what their behaviour does to all that surround them, including those of us trying to have a nice quiet breakfast, or the next person who approaches that day clerk.
I think that would be really difficult to arrange a time with all of them. I'm not really sure what that would accomplish either. My psoriasis likely isn't affecting my throat@ChemGal, couldn't you arrange a conference with a GP and the specialists, you and ChemGuy?
Thanks. At least I know I can get a GP easily. If not a full time one at my current clinic, there are quite a few others in my area. I'm mainly annoyed that the health care system makes this more difficult, when there's a pretty easy solution. So sorry you are going through this very difficult time, ChemGal . . . hopefully, one day, the systems will all gel and it won't be so time consuming and stressful for you. And hopefully, research will come up with something as far as treatment or cure goes.
