Do you listen to yourself and what you say in the past ... or does it just drop out? You've strongly hinted these people are going to hell without a spark ...

I am not the Judge of the people in the UCCanada Luce, nor have I ever claimed to be so.

Guys, really. @Luce NDs , if you want to lob accusations at @Jae, post something, maybe a recent quote from him, to back it up. I know he indulged in a lot of anti-UCCan rhetoric back in the old WC and even early WC2 days but I don't recall anything recent. As we've said before, the Room really shouldn't be a place for interpersonal conflicts. We are talking about LLWLs, not Jae.

So a residential course over a few days or weekend sort of thing? I like that approach. This strikes me as the sort of training that would benefit from it.
Yes, it is a series. I believe @StevieG went.
I liked the model. They are just wrapping up a contingent and I think are holding off on starting next one until after know more about new church structure

My gut feeling is that personal/face to face contacts would be helpful in developing worship leaders. Some may find it easy to study and take quizzes online yet totally suck in delicate conversations in the real world. Apart from that the dedicated spaces like Five Oaks are pretty special!

Yes. I'm currently taking online courses and on-campus courses, and greatly prefer the latter. Having personal contact with others while learning is so much better imho than the classroom online. As we continue to develop as leaders, interacting with others in the real world is so very vital.

Online is great for something like computer programming or mathematics where the focus is on gaining knowledge and practicing skills. For something like leadership, preaching, etc. requiring human interaction and feedback, in person is preferable. IMHO, of course.

It would be interesting to ask how the others feel.

You aren't developing as a leader. You're just not. There is no evidence of it. It's not your theology, it's just you do not carry yourself like a leader. It's not that you couldn't lead a platoon into battle - you couldn't lead an old lady across the street without her hating you by the other side.

If you want to interact with people in the real world, show it. Practice it here for more than 24 hours at a time.

You're always so full of sunshine chansen. :ROFLMAO: Certainly you're one of a kind. Gave a great day.

In support of ChemGal's comment above it might be worth noting that there is a thread ban tool now available and that - given the purpose of this room that's stated clearly in the opening post - those who insist on using this thread to attack or insult others could be banned from it.

Just got back from a quick trip to the US via Niagara Falls. Mucky drive home with intermittent rain and grey sky. Glad to be back home.

I see the rocking chair in the room and I think of Wolfie and what is that hanging on the rafter?

Grant's yellow thong. or was is someone else's.
