Sorry Tabitha - I didn't mean to make you feel 'bad'. Nothing you said was glaringly 'wrong'. Traditions in the UK vary a lot from home to home, region to region, and between income levels too. That applies to all the holidays and much of the special food people hold dear.

LLWL interview process yesterday was welcoming, informative, provided challenges, but didn't make us feel like second-class citizens in the church community. Wonderful! Pre-interview angst provided some interesting nightmares. Slept well last night though. At one point early on in the interview, I disagreed with one of the interviewers who placed a quality on me that I didn't agree with. I was respectful, and she then re-worded her point, realizing it had come off in a way other than she had intended.

The LLWL course hasn't been offered in my Conference for years now. I'll be first on board the next time it runs!

I agree Pinga. My learning experience was great...still feel a connection with the other participants, even though we don't see each other that often.

It will be offered at Five Oaks as for some physical place combined with community learning is important.

So a residential course over a few days or weekend sort of thing? I like that approach. This strikes me as the sort of training that would benefit from it.

Would one condemning the UCC and then wishing to preach there have an unconscious desire?

Oh well ... some say ignorance is best!

I don't know Luce. Why do you ask? I don't condemn the UCC. I have been a member and an adherent in UCC congregations.

Yhe love of God and other things did give us a means of loosing it ... thus we forget as the lest of vite ... tis a obscure/occult ole thing ... the bible say formless and dark in the beginning ... some evolve the ole into auld and it becomes like a tunnel or vortex in the mind ... a tree like metaphor ...

Do you listen to yourself and what you say in the past ... or does it just drop out? You've strongly hinted these people are going to hell without a spark ...
