Hilary...Hope your Grandpa comes out of the surgery with flying colours. My aunt has stage 4 lung cancer. We used to tremble at that 'stage 4' thing, but she's doing well...knows she'll never be cured, but she is feeling well, and her chemo and radiation are doing what they are supposed to do: put the cancer to sleep (that's how the doctor explained it!)
Thanks for the pep talks everyone. I tried to downplay my work problem, but most of you saw right through that! It reached an ugly head last year, and I'm determined to not let it get like that this year, despite her shenanigans. I have a hard time with deceit, but I'll have to get over that. She has a real fan club at our school...people who think she is SO wonderful, and they are in her circle of favourites. I'm not. So, I just keep my head down and do my job. I love my kids, I love teaching, and I do an okay job. That's where I have to focus.
