Aah, Paradox3. I am hopeful that in the days, weeks, months ahead, you remember the mom of days gone bye with fond stories, or a laugh or two. I know the dad that I have now is not the dad of past, and that the memories of past dad are also coloured , not always true, and it is when we come together that i hear how each one sees the pictures of that person.

So, i think of you. I think of your loss, and the time that you had with her, which was many.

Ah P3 - so sorry to hear of your mom's death. Even when it's time to go, it's still a hole in our lives that opens up as loved ones die. Bette said it well recently - that a piece of our history slips away. May you be surrounded by family and share lots of stories about your beloved one. Be gentle with yourself.

One advantage to island cottaging: JW's and door to door salespeople have never been known to come by boat. Could happen, I suppose but I have never heard of it.

Good Morning Wonderfriends. I am just dropping into the Room for a little quiet time and to listen to your chatting. I lost my mom two days ago . . . she died at the age of 94. Sad for all of us but also a relief in a way. I am sure this crowd understands how that can be.

Mixed feelings are confusing ... take care and things will even out ...

Hugs and condolences, P3. You will always miss her now, and go to tell her a story and remember that she's not there. I stored up stories to tell at my tri-weekly visits to my Mom's care home like gems.
