Ugh I feel annoyed. We've been paying to have someone to come over and clean for more than a year and a half. It's a company, always a different person. I used to be on a certain day, every for weeks. That got switched to the 4th week of the month. Then I was requested to change my regular time slot. Did all of that. Often I get very short term notice about someone cancelling. The last time no one even showed up. I'm always very accommodating about my schedule when rescheduling has to be done. I will take a morning slot if necessary, but have requested not to have a morning slot as a regular time.
Chemguy and I both prepare when someone is coming - moving most of our stuff out of the way. I do most of this. We're paying for actual cleaning, not to have someone rearrange our things. It's not unusual for me to have completed or be half way done when I get a cancellation. Sometimes it has also happened on the rescheduled time, requiring a 2nd reschedule.
I was informed of a cancellation ahead of time. I was asked though if someone could come in a few hours - no, I had plans already. Then I get a text today, again asking to make time for someone today. I have company this weekend and have things to do. If I was informed of it ahead of time not a problem, as I would have planned ahead. I'm feeling like the person is shaming me - pointing out today is my 'usual' day. I don't even feel like I have a usual due to how often it's requested that I reschedule. Why I couldn't get the notice of the later time when I was informed of the cancellation then?
Makes me wonder how accommodating other clients have been.
