Ugh with stress - I keep thinking there is no way today is only Tuesday. I'm so glad it's a short week, even without working it makes a difference.

Very short week work wise here as Thurs. is a Professional day-no kids. I'm going to a session on anxiety in students.

So I went to quilt Guild-I attend sporadicically - it's a time issue. I needed help with a striped bias binding. Got the help, showed my quilt in progress-it just needs binding.
On the way out I popped in and watched some square dancing-just 2 squares. The ladies wanted to see my quilt so I showed them. They asked if I dance-well I can-but only the old calls-I don't know the new ones-they insisted I dance -and we did 2 dances-the last one to scooby do. I know the easy calls-all 4 ladies chain across and allemande left your corner-weave the ring etc. They got me through a few others and we had fun!! Made me think of Seeler. (I learned to square dance during the Centennial-so 50 years ago)

Tabitha - good to hear of your square dance experience. It's fun! Not as popular now as it was 25 to 50 years ago, but those who try it generally enjoy it. Our caller is introducing new and modern music. And while we still have the basic calls, the more advanced dancers enjoy more complicated manouvers. Seelerman and I have been learning 'plus' calls this past winter. We do the 'tea cup chain' (a complicated call that involves two women starting with one move, and the other two women with another move, while the men remain in their positions and help to guide us as we swirl around them), and 'load the boat' (another call when everybody seems to be doing something different but end up in the proper places as it is completed), and other calls. By the way, we seldom wear those wide skirts and crinolines anymore, except for demos at nursing homes where the residents like to see them. For our regular Thursday evenings we wear slacks or street clothes - for special dances we dress up - but again in ordinary clothes like one would wear to any dance. (no really short skirts, though).

I have also been attending a Knitting Group at my local library. This one is morphing into a combination of knitting and chess instruction.

Truth is stranger than fiction.

You could knit little sweaters for the pieces. I hear those little people get cold.:D

There is a 'skills share' group in my community. It's basically knitting and I think crocheting - I've never actually been. They spun off a series of gardening talks presented by one person. I got to one, hoping I can make more despite them being after working out - the first one I went to I had a cold, so no working out for me.
I was a bit surprised how quiet the first one was, but it is during the day. The ones put on by the greenhouses and the horticultural society fill up fast.

Happy easter weekend all. I will be hiding some wonder eggs around the room. Let me know if you find any and what they contain.

Oh - so it's been you doing this Tabitha! I can't resist them!

Once the bag gets opened at our house ... it doesn't take long to empty out! In fact, it was Easter eggs for dessert tonight after dinner

Oh, I'm gladd we have Easter Eggs in the Room. I loved the hunt when I was a kid, and even more so hiding eggs for my own children and then my grandchildren (and in between I hid eggs for the university students I rented rooms to). But now Granddaughter is an adult, and Grandson near his teens. They like treats but no longer look forward to coming to Grammy's house to hunt for them
I'll have something for them when we get together for Easter dinner.

There's a little church just outside B______, G_____ United, which has a yearly Easter fundraiser making and selling the sweetest fondant eggs I have ever tasted. They're a perennial hit with my old guy and the kids.

How does your old guy refer to you, Bette? As his old soul?
