Tab - you are the person who will spend the most time in your office; it should be colours you like. Good for you for standing up for yourself.

I suspect that no colour could alleviate the broom-closetness of my latest 'office'. Have to make room for the inpouring hordes of admin staff, dontcha know. *sigh*

Hello All, It's been a really long time since I've popped by wondercafe 2 but delighted to see that this room is still abuzz and a warm place for people to exchange life's happenings. I admit I didn't read the 300 plus pages that I've missed, but skimmed the previous couple. Christmas cards have many purposes. I hold onto the few I get. For me the biggest purpose is to re-read them from time to time. However, I have made crafts with them as well.
Hoping that Nancy finds relief for her pain. I have been to chiropractors and physio therapists and find both treatments helpful in different ways. Like Pinga suggested, physio offers exercises that I find helpful over time. I hope you feel better soon Nancy.
Tabitha, your new paint colour sounds lovely! Happy Monday everyone.

Good to see you popping in! What have you been up to?

To be technical it is actually my muscles running up my ribcage but discomfort is felt in my axillas especially in downward dog today. It's using a paint roller and reaching up!

OK my arms are sore from yesterdays painting. My armpits especially. 2nd coat will need to wait a day.!

We painted our first house (an aging two bedroom that needed some work) ourselves and did a refresh on the current house as well. I hear you loud and clear. Painting is surprisingly hard work.

Arm pits and onto the ribbing ... perhaps once a Reuben ... as the human vessel was constructed from the sol-up!

First one had to have a concern (an, anis, anna) fore thought as prescience ... something missed by those locked into present thinking alone ...

@Mendalla How was the vacation?

Hugh's Room (a wonderful venue for acoustic music) here in Toronto has just closed its doors & may not re-open.

I was reading about Hugh's Room on facebook (a friend was sharing information, she books there).
It said they have not declared bankruptcy yet. People are still hoping for a resurrection.

Have seen some great artists at Hugh's Room . . . Fred Eaglesmith, Valdy, Ian Tyson, James Gordon, The Good Brothers . . .

Went to a Sunday morning gospel set once with Ken Whiteley which was excellent.

Yes - sad to hear about Hugh's Room - hopefully some options will emerge that will allow it to continue operating. P3 - That Ken Whiteley Gospel thing was on my radar last year, but I didn't get there, sadly. I saw him perform at our local Southside Shuffle in Sept tho - loved him.

Good morning - I've managed to find some dry wood. Give me a moment and I'll get a cozy fire started - if I can just get it to draw properly. This thaw and rain are not welcome in the middle of January - after a weekend of extreme cold weather - temp rising from -20 or so to +4 in 24 hours. Not normal. And it's predicted to be -10 or more this weekend. Can you imagine the ice! and the condition of sidewalks and parking lots? We'll have to be careful.

Will pull a chair up to the fire as I finish my morning coffee. . . then will get on with the chores.

Yes, I got a phone call at 7:07 this a.m. from my dog walking neighbour. He had attempted to set out (he lives 4 doors down) only discover that it was absolutely treacherous underfoot. We had a few inches of snow, then a ton of rain, then it went cold overnight.
