Hi Pinga - early to bed(?), early to rise. I often wake early, but I force myself to stay in bed until 6:00 am (I may put the light on and read and if I'm lucky fall back to sleep.) People with Parkinsons sometimes have problems with sleep patterns, wide awake at 2:00 or 3:00 am and falling asleep att unexpected times during the day. I hopee to avoid that as much as possible.

The problem with my head is improving. I'm expecting the extramural nurse today to change the dressing. I'm hoping this might be the last time.

I've hadd cysts on my head before. Lumps, but covered with hair so that only me and my hairdresser knew. They were big and annoying but they were not painful. I had them removed in day surgery.
This one was very painful, 'sore as a boil' as the saying goes. And filled with deep pockets of pus, surrounded by bright red tissue, and then a red rash spreading down my forehead. Not nice!
But it is almost over.
Meanwhile life goes on. I'm hoping to get my Christmas village assembled today.

@Seeler, that is my experience as well. My current family health care team who does lumps & bumps in the office. Works well, easy to book and process. I am glad that you are healing well. They aren't fun.

I had a strange and growing lump on the bridge of my nose, right where my glasses sit. I called the doctor's office and was told that the next appointment would be mid January. (I called two weeks ago). I took care of it myself. Not sure that it was a fix. And not sure that it won't come back. But I took care of it.

Have you noticed hat ever since we started talking about the death of WC2, we've had an abundance of interesting threads. It takes me forever to get through them each morning. I hope this indicates new vigour and not a dying gasp. What would I do without WC2 (or its successor, as may be0 to come to each morning?

I am sitting in a car surrounded by luggage and boxes of fellow consultants. Having fun texting with my youngest son who is morphing into my business assistant.

I am looking forward to Christmas prep this weekend.

We're getting our tree this weekend. I'm never sure when is the "right" time to set up a live tree. I want to enjoy it as long as possible but don't want it to be dried out by Christmas.

I bought a felt hat at an artisan in Northern Wisconsin this summer. I have just started to wear it.
It is fun to see who looks askance at me, and who admires it.
Just had a delightful server stop & do a doubletake in the lounge at the airport then compliment me on it, asking if I bought it in Canada or Europe. Made me smile as we found something to connect on.

It is interesting to be engaging in the wheeling/dealing of getting a project done and exercising the skills that I had put together over the last number of years.
I have also figured how to distribute the work , and have employed someone to help me administratively. Such a gift.

The trick is to figure out how to retain balance. I am driving now in December to catch a project up and settle some nerves with the message given that it will be lighter in Jan, heavy in Feb, then tap back down again. Will be fun doing so.. Figuring out when to take some holidays too.!

I have a beautiful felted carry-bag made by my sister that is often admired for its intriguing pattern. It's a lovely older art being revived to great effect, particularly with modern yarns. Do you use felted dryer balls instead of fabric softener?

I actually use neither-no dryer balls at all. Lots of my stuff I air dry. If using the dryer I tend to stop it at very slightly damp.

Went to see F antastic beasts and where to find them" in 3 D last night. Ifyou have been disappointed by Rowlings last book in play style, the movie makes up for it, especially in 3 D.
