Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

Good morning folks. Setting out coffee, a copy of the Observer, a bit of a cranberry loaf, lightly buttered, and some hot water for tea.
Sit down, relax, enjoy the view from the window of the lake. I think that I heard loons earlier.

It is pleasant in this room for all. The fire is going, the air outside is crisp. Fall is in the air, but, inside it is cozy.
I think that I see bread rising in the corner. I wonder who was so energetic this morning.

Life is good. Though there is sadness in our community, we hope that they find places to be gentle to themselves.

@Lastpointe , @crazyheart , @Greywolf336 , sit yourself down. join the others who are sitting quietly here. no need to chat, no need for noise amongst friends.

A grand directive to Room for all ... beyond pain that some are blind to ... expand, stretch ... even if it creates and ankh you can express! That's the word ...

There are three TED Talks over recent days that speak barrels to those that are ignorant of the "other's" tore! An interesting concept in the depths of time ... that as a great unknown can give a grasp to ambiguity, uncertainty ... and what you don't know that you believe you know ... if you believe you know all that's necessary! Something to "Klingon" to ...

These talks are by Mellissa Walker on masks, Ione Wells on Sexual misconduct and Pico Iyer on the darkness, occult and what we don't know and feel smug about ... they are humbling!

Is there an advantage to rich and militant people to keep others confined in the dark ... instead of investigating what's buried there by doctrine and doctoring of souls with ignorance: "You don't really need to know this do you?"

Biblical reference: "Question all things!" Imagine who could 'a said such a thing ... but then the abstract imagination is just a dream ... rite?

At home today waiting for a pharmacy delivery with a cold.
Cold isn't too horrible although I feel just wiped out. There's also the nagging though about throat symptoms although for now I think it's just the cold.
Hoping to nap soon, afraid if I do now I would just sleep through the doorbell! Wish I had been given a delivery time range, they usually do that.

Nags can be awesome horses ... drink lots and rest! My mother would say that ... then ask why you accomplish nothing ...
Thanks. I'm feeling a bit better today although my throat feels a bit worse.

Had to go to the doctor today for a prescription refill and talked to her about my throat I'm going to treat it for an attack although after I wake up from a nap as I'm chilly from all the snow. Not going to use Firazyr unless it gets bad quickly. Just berinert as even if it's not my HAE at least I will get a bit of an extra protective effect to help deal with the stress of the virus.

That nag in throat disease keeps busting out ...

Thanks Luce for the TED suggestions - there is so much out there isn't there?

Hope your cold feels better soon ChemGal - I predict 7-10 days

Our big excitement today - a new iron got delivered to our house! LOL - what a life! Old iron seemed to have a 'hot spot' on the sole plate & kept burning stuff - time for a new model. So mate did the necessary research - ordered a "macho" iron - eco friendly too! He makes me laugh!

Tonight I'm off to euchre - looking forward to seeing all the gang after our summer hiatus! I image lots of talking ... laughing ... and a little bit of card playing!

Enjoy @Carolla .

I seem to be busy these days, and though it is all good, I recognize that I need a long sleep in tomorrow. Hoping that happens.
Don't want to catch any of the cold bugs that are circulating. Take care @ChemGal .

I think I should be doing better soon. This one is mostly a sinus thing, I've been coughing a bit mostly after using the stairs. I haven't heard any coughing from Chemguy. I should have known better, I knew my nephew was sick but I'm like well little things can affect a baby more and he was pretty happy, just lots of mucus in addition to his drool. He decided to 'share' the highly prized medicine bottle he kept shoving in his mouth with me though, by shoving that across my face and lips. So much for hand washing!

Throat is doing better now and had a sudden voice change (for the better) during infusion.

As for irons, we own one. I have never used it, Chemguy needs it for a few of his dress shirts. I don't even know how much of my stuff would be safe to iron. I get mostly cotton but a fair bit of it has a tiny bit of stretch to it.

I have an iron and use it frequently-for quilting.
Just washed my hockey billet's dress shirts. I fluffed them in the steam dryer after drying them. Perfect. No ironing needed.
