Damn you. You got the name right and I got it wrong.Sisyphus' struggle ... getting over the hump of social behaviour! Difficult in a world of anti social behaviour ... war mongering?
Many do not socialize with such thoughts ...
What a lovely day in S. Ontario. Just got back from a walk around Royal Botanical Gardens aka RBG. You know, it is "in my backyard" and I can't remember the last time that I was there. I am sure that I must have been...but. crazy.
Had a great visit with SomeGalfromCanada and Carolla and Birthstone.

sad today. Just found out via facebook that friend is battling cancer. It feels like someone I have grown up with. Met him in young adults at church. (remember those days? when single young adults were at the united Church in such numbers that we had our own groups?). Our children went to school together. He was at Naramata every summer. Feeling sad today.
Sorry, Tabitha. It is hard to hear of someone who is suffering, and also a recognition that the frequency increases as we age. Gone are the days when it was rare for a friend's parents to die. Now it is common, and soon it will be rare to have a friend with a parent that is alive. Now are the days for me of my friends retiring, transitioning, grandkids. Some day, it will be selling off homes, or spouses passing.
Life is a series of transitions, isn't it. Some are easier to take than others. Some get to those points earlier than others.
Peace be to you, and all others who face those transitions today.
I guess I just have to be grateful for each day. My younger sister had good news after a double masectomy. And I bowled above my average today. 74, 89, 75 in candlepin bowling. (my average is 74)
I wanted to "like" just the last portion of your post. You seem to be mastering the ability to age gracefully and gratefully.
I've used the bathtub before for hand wash only.Quick trip to nearby city last night with youngest. Oldest was available so we went to a grocery store and stopped by with dinner. Then off to a park where the guys played frisbee and I got my 30 minute walk in by the lake. Life is good.
My youngest is cracking me up these days. His new medicine increases his impulsivity. I asked about laundry. He washed his clothes in the bathtub as he didn't have correct change for both the washer and dryer in his building. He says it wasn't worth it. He let clothes dry overnight and then finished them off in the dryer.
I suggested a drying rack for the clothes-and using the washer next time and letting them air dry. Again a happy moment of amusement and no harm done to hm or his clothes.
