Pinga - when Seelerman and I traveled to NL we went by ferry. We wanted the experience of the open sea - and the experience of the time/distance that separates Newfoundland from the Maritimes. And we wanted our own car to travel about. (much like our two trips out west - I had flown from Toronto to Edmonton once - driving across the country was a totally different experience.
That said - if we were to go to NL again we would likely fly and lease a car. The ferry ride is expensive, time consuming, always late, and uncomfortable. I'm glad we did it once - but not again.

Sometime you can tour the Maritimes - two days drive from your place, great place to visit. We can see each other then.

Hi seeler.

I have travelled a bit in the east coast. A trip with my husband to gaspe many years ago was wonderful, we camped in forillon and had lobster in shediac. Then there was a trip to newfoundland with our sons where we travelled from St. John’s to l'anse Aux Meadows and back camping along the way. Later, I and my sister would take my mom from Monkton, over to halifax, up the Cabot trail, down with a stop at the tea room, then to pei and then home again. Finally, there was the trip to tatamagouche and the opportunity to see you before heading to whale watching in Nova scptia.

The land is beautiful

Isn't travel wonderful!

Thus one moves over the dirt ... supportive mire in some cases where the story is writ as a lyon in the san? Some vibes may be expected ... as ups and downs ... mediums are eliminated ... anti polity group?

Last night, there was a gathering of friends to celebrate my retirement.
One of our friends recently broke her ankle badly, but, was coming. When she arrived. she had a wheelchair. Her husband felt we should go up the stairs backwards with her in the wheelchair, said he had it, and then, directed who should do what.......well...things went awry. He was up about the 3rd stair when he couldn't hold it, the chair started to go back down the stairs and tip. he held on, next thing you know, my friend was lying on her back in the chair with her foot up, and her husband was lying partially on top of her, and his head bleeding profusely from where he had struck the flagstone walk. Men came running from across the street. My friend, the host, is good in an emergency, and managed the scene. Luckily, my friend in the wheelchair was fine..no further damage. Her husband would require stitches (as it turned out 12 stitches). What an exciting way to start a retirement party!

Looking forward to seeing a friend this morning for coffee & discussion. (edit: OOPS - that is tomorrow)
** correction ** looking forward to hanging out with all my guys, as my coffee meeting is tomorrow morning!

Dis a deep fundification ... I've often fixed my visions on it ... especially when catching some ocean insects ... lobe stereo-IDes ... rich in cholesterol?

Goes contrary to the comprehension of John's vision of not eating things under that sheet that descended from heaven ... a drag net? From the objective of the phesh in!

Wondering if it wasn't pinga who hit her head!

There may be exams and final assignments involved, as well. Last Friday was the last day of classes at my Community College; I don't know how different the seminary semester might be.

Today is a special day for me. It is the day that I achieve a full pension from my workplace. Although I have no immediate plans to retire, I'm officially on P-1-10 status (Piss me off once, 10 seconds later I'm gone...)

Sounds celebrate-able anyway. It's Friday so any old excuse for a party. Here's a "I can retire when I want to" cake for you to enjoy.

Personally, when reach P-1-10 status, I'm probably out the door. My wife is retiring before me so that already creates an incentive to get out asap, plus I'm starting to run out of gas on this gig. It's a great place to work and the job has its delights but computers, much as I use them a lot even in my personal life, are not my first love. Of course, I'm in a defined contribution plan so there really is no "day that I achieve full pension". It's more about the "day that I have enough coin in my pension plan + RRSP to afford retirement".

Considering Jae tends towards unknown humour ... he is probably sic of this place (too stoic) and wishes to extract himself ... but it appears you cannot be erased from here as Erasmus was from common history?

Thanks for the cake, Mendalla. Yes, those of you with dual incomes/pensions have a few more options. There's just me and the dogs and cats (although I have a regular old guy with whom I have been "friends" for 20 years). If I stop doing this, I will probably want to do a little something to supplement my income a bit.
