I need to get out a bit into the garden I think.
A long ongoing family situation turned into an emergency situation a while ago. I'm a bit removed from it, but my parents are under a great deal of stress from it and I'm feeling it indirectly.
Watching the news has been tough. When it's close, people I know involved it's easy to go to how would I deal with something like that. It almost made me feel panicked, but I reminded myself that there was advance notice and I would be getting out ahead of time due to the smoke. I would have not been waiting to get an evacuation notice.
Should probably schedule some nephew time too. Can't be in the garden for too long, it's hot and allergies are definitely worse than a few weeks ago. Nephew cuddles don't trigger allergies

I'm a wuss. Everything is scary to me. I've already got two design projects, plus more in the wings. Have to get a lot of personal stuff sorted out, so I'll be only working on a couple of things for cash flow until I can get started in earnest. Losing my company truck, so I bought a car today. That was nice. I'll certainly be driving enough.
