We got showers in London but from the weather reports I get via Twitter and Environment Canada's app, we seem to have missed most of it. I know there were tornado warnings up Little M's way (Ottawa and Eastern Ontario) and some flooding in the GTA.

We had 2" of rain today! Sure needed it - and it came over the course of several hours - so that was better than a huge downpour. Windy this afternoon - still humid. Had a great visit from our son & hs gf last night - we got to eat outside on the deck before the rain came. Enjoyed some great conversation & then played a game of Mexican Train when we came inside.

This afternoon I sat on the porch, enjoying the warm wind & crafted a 'lavender wand' for the first time! My lavender is a bit beyond the optimal time for picking & doing this, and I just used ribbon I had on hand - but it worked out okay despite my fumbly fingers. Thanks to whoever had posted a link to instructions - I think it might have been Mrs. Anteater.

Wasn’t me, I only had asked for suggestions.

I have some lavender that's a bit past it. Good little project for gifts!

It poured rain here quite a few times today. Everything is very drenched.

Just started raining here again. Nice to get my yard and beds watered, so I am not completely unhappy, even if means I had to exercise indoors today.

Trip was good, distancing mostly went ok. My oldest nephew was blowing through a water gun sorta thing right into Chemguy's face. Chemguy wasn't attempting to stop that. *sigh*
I was a bit surprised to see that when we stopped in Gasoline Alley Chemguy was the only one wearing a mask inside the gas station (he needed a caffeine boost and to use the washroom). Quite a few places put in a mandatory mask law yesterday, although that area wasn't included. I was just expecting to see more wear them anyway.

Good morning, all! Time for some warmo beverages! the coffee cart is ready. Come and get it.

Thanks...I'll have my 2nd cup.
Looking at the "Life After Death" thread, with some enthusiastic laundry and lavender posts, I wondered about a "Life Before Death" thread. What do you think?

I thought that's what "Room for All" was about. :ROFLMAO:

Good morning, all. Time for morning tea, I think.:coffee: Weather is supposed to suck here today but doesn't seem too bad right now. The chance of showers goes up around mid-day though so maybe it's just biding its time.

My lawn probably needs a mow but it is soaking wet from yesterday and overnight so I guess it will have to wait until the weather improves. Perhaps an evening job later in the week.

Getting older is wearing on me ... friend suggested I consider getting a lawn tractor ... perhaps an old goat as an option?

Read it as you wills ...

Read this morning that a swimmer in St Margaret's Bay NS had arm broken by mysterious sea monster ... do people not know a tuna is like a runaway train when chasing herring on the run? Imagine being imparted by anything 500+ pounds at high speed ... illustration of momentum!

Momentum is an invisible attribute to matter ... nothing like it in the domain of essence ...

They collided with a tuna? Ouch. Yeah, some species of those suckers can get pretty big. I'd still take a tuna over a great white, though, unless I was safely locked in a shark cage. Love great whites but that doesn't mean I want to get up close and personal. Too many teeth.

Speculated ... may have been something like a dolphin, etc.

The heat and humidity haven't been as bad as predicted so far. Maybe later.

Was very muggy here yesterday but the temperature never got very high. We just ran the AC long enough to lower the humidity to comfortable levels. Looks like more of the same.
