Thinking of you, @Mendalla, and hoping you'll get this resolved. Has Mrs. M. ever suggested a DCM to you? I find mine good when it comes to more holistic/auto-immune stuff.

Yes, Mrs. A., that certainly looks like a catnip plant to me. (You're right that leaves are similar to nettle, but clearly, the stem is absent those lovely nasty little spines spilling formic acid into one's skin.) Different cats get different levels of excited about it, fresh or dried. Some only like the flowers, sort of like little cannabis addicts, lol. For tea for humans, I harvest it when it's in full flower and use leaf and flower. For cat presents, I use mainly dried flower. It's best outside, likes poor soil, doesn't need full sun. Spreads a bit (it is a member of the mint family), but not invasive.
Oh, poor soil, I got lots of. Might make the neighbour cats happy.

Pouring myself a coffee :coffee: Where I am the rain is holding off for now, but it's on the way. The planters need water....hopefully Mother Nature will oblige. Hope everyone's day goes smoothly.

Was showering here when I left home but seemed fairly localized and petered out as I drove East. * sips tea *

Earliest doc can see me is Friday but this isn't urgent and it gives time for the report on the blood work to come in so I'm good with that. If I was still sick (down to just some stiffness in joints, not much more than is usual for me, no fever) it'd be different.

It will be good to get a handle on what's going on. (Dammit Jim! I need answers! ...."Bones" McCoy)
I'm achey today too, but it's just my rheumatiz.

Good morning. The rain is falling gently on the roof of the trailer. It's such a nice, peaceful sound. And we need it here.

Such a colourful array of cups. Love it. I'll have a coffee this morning. Cheers

Gray here on the shores of Lake Erie where we are for a few days. Went for a long walk on the beach this morning. Turned out backs on the big rolling waves to look at something inland - and wouldn't you know it - a biggie came in & soaked my feet!! Went exploring the village a bit, had coffee, did a bit of shopping ... now trying to see if we can get that darn SMART TV to work!! While in some of the shops & cafe I did inquire about best place in town to watch the game tonight ... just in case!

Our place is overlooking a channel that goes out to the lake. There is still some commercial fishing done here (mainly perch & smelt I think) - so between 4:00am and 5:00am the boats fired up their loud diesel engines & headed out to fish. So I got up & watched for a while. Some were back in around 8:30 - 9:00 to unload & headed back out. And some showers here - with more rain expected this afternoon. (can't forget the weather report - so Canadian LOL!)

Beautiful Carolla. One thing I miss about being out here is the Great Lakes. I have many good memories of summer times spent at the beach. Some memorable sunburns to with those memories as well.

Last time I stayed at one I had issues too, but it was moreso an issue with the wifi, it would work at certain times. My phone was regularly switching between 2.4 and 5G signals as there would be issues with both of them. So there might not much you can do if it's a service issue.

This is the earliest we've had to get moving in some time. And I can't even have coffee first. I have a CT scan this morning. The coffee and breakfast will be after. Time to start seeing what the treatment has done.

Need a "crossing fingers for luck and hope" smiley, I guess. Hope the CT brings good news. How long to get results?

I see the oncologist next week. I'll also have the MRI results at that point. I think the MRI will have more useful information. I don't remember any issues with the last CT.

Early appointments suck eh. I have one on Thursday - check in at 7.45 am. at a hospital nearly four hours from home. Gonna stay in the city on Wednesday night!

Interesting to compare the "cost of dis-ease" from one geographical area to another. Matters such a huge deal in our country.

We realised that we have no idea how those who can't drive (for whatever reason) get to city appointments now we no longer have buses to and fro. The bus was an option for those who weren't too sick to handle the ride. Everyone doesn't have family nearby. Everyone doesn't have friends who can drive. Everyone doesn't have the funds to pay for a taxi each way. Guess I'll have to make some enquiries about this topic in the next while.

That's a good question @KayTheCurler. That's an issue in Northern BC, though Northern Health has a bus that takes people from one place to another. The Canadian Cancer Society has a bus that takes people from Nanaimo to Victoria. I'm not sure it would be worth it for me though because it will add an hour or so to my trip. I'm on the south end of town. If they would pick me up around here somewhere, I would use the service. sometimes too, there are volunteers who drive people. I'm just so thankful to be here and not in the northern BC town where I lived almost 20 years. If I had even been able to access medical services for diagnostic stuff, my treatment would have involved more travel.
