Feeling worn out. Had a throat attack, pretty sure it started in my sleep and I was too clueless this morning although before getting out of bed, surfing the net to figure it out. Had a phone call and knew.
Decided to try out Firazyr for the first time as daytime is a better time to go to the ER. Worked well, response about as fast as berinert which is good to know for future use. Faster considering prep time is minimal. Symptoms minimal, mostly reaction at injection site which I was expecting as most people get it. Big looking welt the felt hot and a bit of a bruise kinda pain. That's mostly gone down. Minor headache too, although it could have just been stress.
I had to check in with triage a 2nd time as I wasn't sure if I was having a rebound attack, symptoms had totally disappeared and then throat felt a bit funny. Nurse in the back seemed totally clueless why I was there. Had to repeat several times I was supposed to go to ER first time using med.
By the time the figured maybe I should treat symptoms as a rebound they were gone again haha It was well after an hour that I had informed staff of the issue, probably close to 2 hours.
Will pay attention to throat tonight. Even with rebound I like the aspect of having this med due to the ease of use and time to use. If I'm out somewhere it should at least buy me a few hours before needing to do the IV infusion.
