Welcome to Wondercafe2!

Good morning. It's rainy right now. It looks like it will clear through the day. I hope so because there are Indigenous Day festivities planned for the park downtown today.

Got the barbeque cleaned up (yeah, we're running late this year) but lawn is too wet to cut yet and there's rain coming in according to the radar. So mowing the lawn might have to wait.

2nd day of RAIN

Demo of Hamlet today -- normally in our park but because of rain will be inside bookstore. Silly peeps -- this rain is GLORIOUS

Teddy TooToo apparently doesn't like the rain; his mom is trying to teach him to tolerate it. It rains a lot here.

So best Summer Solstice in a while and best 1st Day of Summer so far

Good morning! Happy Saturday! Summer started overnight, hope everyone has a great season. Medical issues and email changes, and other thoughts and events of the day meet with us around the Coffee Cart, for discussion and support and connection, over tea and coffee. This morning we have muffins of assorted flavours, to enjoy. The tea water is ready. The coffee is freshbrewed. The muffins are excitingly warmed from the bakery. All is ready, all are welcome! Come in and join the conversations!

Happy Sunday.

32 days

Wow! The rain was one of those heavens-have-opened rainfalls! The lawn and garden looks so lush right now. Heading off to celebrate my cousin’s 80 th birthday. She is such an amazing lady..expert quilter, and volunteer extraordinaire at the nursing home. She is spry and beautiful and sure doesn’t look 80!

We had tickets for the Blue Jays' game today, so, my brother-in-law went in my stead. I probably could have gone, but, I think it might have resulted in worry for my family.

The deer have decided to mowdown my hostas. I don't mind normally, but this year, they are particularly aggressive, and given the amount of their normal vegetation around, i am calling foul.

Does anyone have veggie gardens? it's our first year being successful as we acquired raised beds. loving have lettuces and salad makings just outside the door.

The # of different meds that I am on now, are beyond reasonable, so even more incentive for continued working on improving health. Figure I won't get off two, as potential for atrial flutter and for bloodclots are likely to remain, but...i can do things about the other ones.

We'll see. At least with summer it is easier, as good veggies are abundant and it's nice outside.

My tomatoes are not happy. Last year, they flourished. Now it's like they're angry with me. I don't know what I did different.

There's still time @chansen! Our tomatoes don't usually come about until late August. Right now they look pretty spindly, but I have faith. It's the raspberry bushes that I am mourning. The weight of the snow this past winter sort of did them in. They are struggling, but I just hope we get enough for the grandkids to raid.

Wow, Nancy, it’s amazing how nature catches up growing and bearing fruit. Do your tomatoes actually have time to ripen on the vine? Mine were sitting on the windowsill and got out the end of May. Starting to bloom now. I became member of a garden club and we have monthly meetings with interesting talks. And that time, people share their extras- so I picked up seeds and a pot with seven tomato plants with the name “ surprise”. So I am not sure what they are going to bear for fruit.

With what little we really know of ultimate things ... everything is a surprise! Yet there are those that lie about all they know ... got another dose of that old philosophy yesterday ...

Good morning! Happy Sunday! Going to be a very warm one here, 33 degrees C and sunny. For rains and lush lawns, BBQ being cleaned, deer who are hungry, veggie gardens supplying fresh salads, tomatoes that seem stubborn, and all the other thoughts that come to mind; we bring them with us to the Coffee Cart for conversation and community and mutual support. Today, to go with the tea and coffee, we have butter tarts to offer. The tea water is ready, the coffee is fresh brewed, and the butter tarts are warm from the oven. All is ready, everybody welcome. Come in and join the chat!

Hoo's hall be eliminated today ... the inhuman trend ... defying the neighbor ...

Does create holes ... however ... thus the recycle theory!

Strawberries have been delayed locally due to a lack of heat. Next 3 days should change that.

I bought a cherry tomato plant early, and though tomatoes have grown, they hadn't ripened. Yesterday a few turned. Looking forward to more Al week

It's been a tough growing time due to lack of heat

I can’t even imagine ripe tomatoes in June! A friend in Burlington sent a picture of a salad made with homegrown lettuce, strawberries and cherry tomatoes.

This plant was an early cherry tomato that was greenhouse started and large hanging basket when I bought it.

My normal plants have blooms but no tomatoes yet

Do bullies tend to be overconfident because of extreme unknown forces? How do folk handle unknown forces?

Not well ... and if they lie well ... who could know? Many stories need to directed at them as penetrating agents ... resulting maybe in dissemination ... in quantum states potentially not!

What's the chance when in such states?

Who knows?

Only one man says the naked emperor! He has opened his self to a lot of attacks from unknown domains ... operated by hegemony-achs ... metamorphically pains in the Satyr! --- Shakespeare!

Imagine a donkey in the forests ...

Yeah, I have blooms, but the plants are too small to support them so I'll probably prime them tonight.
