Yummy cookies thanks.

We are getting together with friends who are back on the island for a visit. They spent several winters here and have spent the last few in Arizona. We're gathering around a fire this afternoon. Then we're going to the best Greek restaurant for supper. We're looking forward to the visit.

But first, I have bloodwork for my treatment tomorrow. Prayers for good neutrophils appreciated.

wishing Northwind great blood composition.

and the saga for me continues. No furnace but have switched out by little heater for a larger infared one from sister in law. I can leave it on when out. House is now a steady 15.
The basement continues to flood. I think I have figure it out. The sump pump in well shuts off when water drops, as it should. It is not coming back on until I jiggle the hose. So I'm inspecting at least 2x a day and catching it at an inch of water.
Yesterday I had a company look at the well and they will give me an estimate-between 2 and 4k. Have 2nd company coming today. Cancelled the company that wanted $180 for a service call-really it is just a look see. And thanks for the offer Chansen but there is a special certification needed to decomission a well.
As soon as well is done I'll get new furnace, and probably hot water tank as the insulation in it got damp.
It feels like camping.....

Oh Lord, my house has a sump pit and our pump used to be like that. The float was getting stuck or caught on something. After a couple floods, a plumber finally put in a new pump with a different float design and it's been fine for a couple decades now, I think. Still check the basement during spring thaw or periods of heavy rain.

Just a quick note….I survived gallbladder surgery today. The weather here is atrocious…another snowstorm. But that’s okay with me. Being housebound and healing on a nice day would be pure torture.
That is a great post to open first t his morning. Healing thoughts wending your way.

Sorry you have such a challenge. For us it was an advantage to have camping gear and skills when difficult times arrived. Our propane stove helped several neighbours.. Hope your problems get fixed soonish.

Is bullying and manipulating material like adjusting currencies?

Is bullying best to get the desires full filled regardless of the soul factor?

It is a mystery ... like an old man in the mountains! Then that old man will condemn all the other old men regardless of the adequate logos ... that's the word!

Today started oot sunny
Then became highly windy (quite cold)
And got to see this for the first time
Every so often leaves would levitate into the sky
I of course played in that pile
To the laughter of some of the FRK here
I encouraged them to play
When I came back, some of them were froliking
This is the kind of enabling I am into
White caps all over our lake
I even saw a surfsailer (keep on keepin on)

Blessed Day

Thank you, Jesus, for another day

Peace and Joy for all

It was a glorious afternoon here. We just left the campfire and are heading to the Greek restaurant.

I had a flood from a sump pump in my former house. One foot of water ( I thought I had the electrical panel shut off but didn’t- lucky to not electrocute myself walking through it). After that, I was nervous with every rain and swore myself, never to have a home with a basement again- which I now don’t.
However, there are alarms you can buy that will send you a message right to your phone when the water is rising.
I got a simplified version of that by my water heater, after it leaked slowly for a while without me noticing. ( my water heater has a kind of “saucer”, so any water in there hits the sensor.) Just have to make sure the battery is full- which it also has an alarm to tell you).

Good morning! Campfires and Greek food with visiting friends, good results for blood tests, basements and sump pumps and old wells, special vocabulary that helps, and all the other stuff from yesterday and today; it all comes with us to the Coffee Cart, to discuss, find support, and develop camaraderie. We di this over coffee, tea, and croissants. The croissants are warmed nicely. coffee is fresh brewed, tea water is boiling. All is ready, everyone welcome. Come join in the conversations!
