I hope you get the answers you need Kay.

I'm just chatting with one of my MBC buddies. One of our group had her MAID appointment today. I'm sure it's done by now. We've had three people die since June. That's a lot.
Yes it is. Sorry to hear of the latest loss.

I can't imagine how hard it must be to watch friends dying like tis. It makes me want to give you a long, gentle hug.
I learned that there are two and a half million Canadians living with Age Related Macular Degeneration. There are twenty thousand Canadians living with the disease stealing my vision. I guess that is why it is described as Rare.

I guess it comes with the territory. I really wish I could have met these ladies under different circumstances.

I didn't think it was rare.

Well, with 20,000 people as opposed to 2,500,000 people, maybe not ‘rare,’ but considerably less common.

It's not rare. One of my Wednesday morning friends has just lost her license over it.
The eye specialists I.ve seen all say it is rare. 20,000 cases in all of Canada is considered a drop in the bucket. I have lost my license too, but many more have lost their license because of Age Related Macular Degeneration.
I do not have ARMD. I have a form of macular dystrophy that is genetic..

My dad had and both brothers have one form of macular degeneration, which is treatable with some form of injection in eye

Mother in law had one form that wasn't treatable

I think the treatable one is dry and the other one is referred to as wet.

Yep. I have a hearing test at the end of the month. Also have peripheral neuropathy and other ailments. My body feels like it has passed its Best Before Date.

Good morning! Happy Friday! Memories of Halloweens past, hot or frigid; meetings done and books to be read; tomato plants, other plants and flowers, and frost; medical tests and long waits; for macular degeneration in several forms, sight and hearing difficulties, and all the other stuff that comes to mind, we gather round the Coffee Cart for chat, support, coffee or tea, and baked snacks. Today we find nice fresh brownies and squares. Coffee is ready, tea water hot, baked things warm from the oven. Come on in and join the fun!

Rare or common is a POV from the mind ... I've been told there is no mind as it is a demon to the desires. Imagine the wobble and weave about that ... Aye?

Unrestricted will ... that's life to get it ut of your system so you can get beyond pure unabashed will ... many cannot because of items wasted (prodigal)? Damn that trash heap ... Gehenna? Pyre in the ashes ...

So there are 1189 chapters in the entire bible. And you can find reading plans that will take you through the whole thing in a year.

Can you imagine?

We could put the equation on Brother @Jae's math thread.

1189 ÷ 365 = chapters to be read daily

Mind boggling if you ask me. I am finding the rate of one chapter per day pretty fast. But it's fun doing it here.

Hmm... well, a year is actually 365.2425 days, P3.
1189/365.2425 = 3.25537 chapters per day.
Course, some of those chapters are a whole lot longer than others. Compare Psalm 119 with Psalm 117.

A number of years ago, I read the entire Bible cover-to-cover. I read about 10 chapters each day

I've read many different versions ... surprising the perspective on escaping onus ... evading responsibility?

In some POV they will sell you an escape advantage ... image selling the core value of such that many cannot envision ... blinded?

Which in practice would be 3 chapters per day but finishing a bit earlier depending on where leap years fell since you'd get a extra 3 chapters those years.

Given the nature of the Bible as I see it from a secular historical/literary perspective, I'm not sure a cover to cover reading makes sense. Different books have different styles and purposes so looking at each book in its historical/religious context, then looking at the big picture by seeing how it relates to other books and influenced/was influenced by them, seems more sensible than reading it like a novel or narrative non-fiction.
