Good morning, all! Saturday has arrived. Let us rejoice. As we remember those departed, and greet those with us, let us raise mugs and cups to salute the gift of life, and the treasure of one another. Allis ready at the cart, help yourself.

I sometimes feel departed, deported or otherwise divined in my way of swinging between an emotional and intellectual life as balance in the pendulum ... sometimes the swing suffers dampening ... just for sharpening up to the slice of time in which I reside as insane!

Some folk really feel they are far to knowing for their own good ... because of the abysmal unknown that is out there and dark, mysterious, etc. There are various words for what's out there ... even OBI!

Okay, so the forecast is showing cloudy with a High probability of showers late morning through dinner time. * looks out window* As of 8:30am, we are getting some sun. It's a mix of sun and cloud but certainly not what they forecast.

No word yet on my cataract consultation but I talked to a colleague who had cataracts and it seems like things are about on schedule. He ended up getting his surgery moved up because his progressed quite quickly. Mine, so far, has been fairly slow. Left eye is hazy, right is clear, though the optometrist says she can see them starting there, too.

The entire world appears a bit cloudy in my sol's eigh ... said to be imaginary or unnatural number ... multiplex? Distinctly ranging ... with atman in white ... ... blanched sheet ... just for the mysterious score ... Phantom of the Opus? Magnanimous ... unlike many cult beliefs that are close mine like ... no Golden Rule there ... all gilded ... team stirs?

Something to be investigated as multilayered ... all dressed out ... histological etude? That's the meat of the outbreak ...

@Northwind, i don't regret the absence of early morning flights to the US. Getting up at 3:30am, trying not to wake the family. Packing the night before. Limo arriving and getting in. Hoping to be able to sleep when drive was occurring.

I was able to go back to sleep and feel okay now. It's good the airport is close by. I felt the kind of tired that risks making you a bit impaired. I was particularly conscious of that as I passed though an empty road construction site where a construction worker had been killed and another seriously injured by a drunk driver the other night. :(

I made a new friend while working the election on Monday. Today I invited her and her three little girls over to pick cherry tomatoes in the garden. They are lovely people, and...of course...know friends of ours. Her story is pretty interesting, having grown up in a refugee camp in Cambodia before moving to Gatineau (Hull at the time). We hit it off (despite the multiple decades in age difference) because we like to tell and listen to the stories other people tell. When she said she had lived in Hull/Gatineau, I told her it was originally Wrightville, named after my ancestors. She loved that story! Our very messy basement is a goldmine for kids...filled with legos, Lincoln logs, art supplies. Then...to top it off, my son came by with his dog. The girls did not want to leave.

Good morning! As we remember trips to the airport at some ungodly hour, and new friends met, and other things, let us gather round the coffee cart, for conversation, community, and, of course, hot beverages.

I'd rather not the take-off point from that warm, dark, pool .... from whence eruptions and constructs are initiated ... often by folks that don't know how to begin ... and thus they avoid the opportunity ... as may present as aborted ... but they went through the situation as born without a clue ... if one has a lonely one ... it may be isolated by the flood of those w/o ... which resonantly reciprocal appear to be an innate condition ... as mistaken for extant and thus excised ... thus we howl" "cut it out"! The surgeon appeared ... without a healer ... and we are dogged by pieces missing in the human enigma ...

In replacement of Asclepius we gor Caduceus but on limited extent ... a test of the prototype? And we ask "what's a' type?" Impressive naivete of the gnomon ... to one that washes the type ... as to clear the layers of inking disbelief of an ideal of wiz dumb ... coming and going ... resonance? Gong ...on the other side of mistaken sentience ... the myth continues ...

Tis not for the fixated and stoned to go any further in the learning curve as discovered ... good grief Charles ... its roasted ... heated inquiry? Thus that don't trust have good rational given their experience ... and they never learned a thing ...

Greetings on this dreary day. It will be a Netflix and knitting day. There will be a walk or two in there too

Cleaning done. As I did it, I wrote (in my head) a new ending for the story that I have in progress. Now to see if it actually works when I write it down. Requires some revision of earlier scenes, too.

I fell asleep after dinner and had the most bizarre dream that i have had in years! Locations, people, situations -- all was odd and yet very real

"Day" dreams are often more interesting than the "night" ones which one almost invariably forgets.

Also, dreams versus visions.

Good Monday morn! As we head headlong into another work week, let us continue to write (and live) our stories, keep the visions and dream impossible dreams. The cart is up and functioning, let us gather in spirit for warming beverages and conversation.

Lucid dreams are said to come from Lucifer ... by some authorities that deny haunting thoughts!

Sometimes Lucy as she butchers her object ...

We spent a lot of time on the design of our new kitchen. Carefully measured all the important dimensions, I thought, explored all the he options Ikea offered, made numerous sketches, ordered what we needed, Added some new cabinets, then removed old cabinets to make way for new cabinets etc. until it was finished. I do not think of checking the slope of the walls though I knew the floor sloped. At least one part would have worked a little better if I had checked the slope of the wall. At one point discovered the next cabinet to be installed was not included in our big order so had to order and get it before proceeding. Originally we were going to use Ikea countertops but the ones we wanted were not currently available so went with Rona butcher block countertops. Finishing them was an adventure with much learning. Would finish them differently if doing it again. (Use only stain for the first stage, then clear varnish to finish. Used varnish with stain added and it was difficult getting the consistency I would have preferred.)

Our end product was a kitchen with lots of easy to use storage, especially the soft close drawers and the carousels in the base and wall cabinets in the corner. It is very convenient with most of what we use being within a couple of steps of our prep areas.Planning was done well enough we had about 1/4" extra space along the wall between the corner and the window. Our island was done in a way the Ikea would not have approved. I built a base to support the four cabinet sections. We have drawers on three sides of the island.
