Sour cream rhubarb with a crumble topping? Yummy. Boy, I'm glad this is all virtual or my glucometer would explode.o_O

oh, i so want some of that pie. Any chance there is some left?
Is it perpetually warm in the wonderkitchen?

I had four (4), yes four fillings today. Thankfully that is the end, unless there are issues with any of the fillings.
Also had my first doctor's in-person appointment since ? before covid -- not sure how long? All is well, just need to get booked into "lumps & bumps" day, and get a few things removed.

The pie here doesn't run out in any sort of hurry. It's kind of magical.

No calories or blood sugar worries, either

I may need to know more about that pie @BetteTheRed ! My neighbour is 'hosting' the Rhubarb Roundup soon! Looking for a good recipe to make & share

Popular items around here are - rhubarb and ginger pie, rhubarb and ginger cake, rhubarb and ginger muffins and rhubarb and ginger jam. I love ginger marmalade too but hesitate over spending that much money on something that isn't good for me.

It's just rhubarb pie recipe with a few amendments. You put a little extra sugar and flour in the filling, then mix in a cup or a cup and a half of full fat sour cream. Then instead of a top crust, a crumble made with oatmeal, butter, brown sugar, flour, maybe a few nuts. Make sure there's a bit of vanilla in both filling and topping. Works better, liquid wise, with fresh versus frozen rhubarb. Lard pastry, start hot, turn down after 10 mins. Here's "a" recipe: Rhubarb Sour Cream Pie

Ooh, and another rhubarb thing: spiced rhubarb relish: Rhubarb Relish Recipe is a Breakfast Favourite

Good morning, all! As we exchange pie recipes, and discuss other matters, let us gather in spirit round about the coffee cart, for warming beverages of all kinds. Enjoy the drinks and the leftover rhubarb pies from several sources.

Is coffee a stimulus or stigma to those that would prefer to not observe what they denied as thought? Thus that is often excised ...

I made a strawberry rhubarb pie for my son's birthday last week, and a rhubarb pie for my sister's birthday this week. Seems we ditch the cake idea this time of year. Next up is a rhubarb crisp. I put orange zest in the pie and ginger in the crisp.

When we had birthday parties in the office (we stopped other than for milestone birthdays several years ago for various reasons), my boss always wanted apple pie rather than a cake. I wasn't complaining, believe me. The bakery they used had nice pies.

Good morning! We have made it to Friday, so far. As we plow ahead, let us pause in our sojourning to gather in spirit round the coffee cart, where all manner of hot drinks are available to help you on your way. Enjoy the conversation, and whatever goodies may appear, along with your cuppa or java or whatever.

Actually, I haven't been finding it that humid yet. I am using my back deck as an office today (no meetings, just plugging away on a project) and not finding it too bad. It is getting hot as the day wears on but there's a breeze.

Just looked at Environment Canada and the weather looks dicey after today. 30-40% chance of showers through the long weekend.
