My last hair cut was August. I haven’t had this much hair since I was in my early 20’s. But not sure I am yet willing to spend a couple of hours so close to anyone yet

I get Mrs. M to trim mine up from time to time (esp. that back where I am plagued with dermatitis) but with me not going to work, I've even been neglecting my beard, which I have always done myself.

I do my hubby with my dog clippers. He has decided that is the new routine forever. Wonders why he was pay8g for a haircut when I had dog clippers. I do a ok job

I've thought of getting my hubby or a friend to use his beard trimmer on the edges of my hair. I can go to the hairdresser but don't really want to.

We actually have a human set. Mrs. M used to do Little M's hair but hadn't done mine in decades until the pandemic hit.

I am uncomfortable too going to a salon. It’s a long time inside , even if it is just one or two people. Feels funny when I don’t go into anyone’s house, don’t see my kids......

I've gotten my hair cut at a small salon since this started. There are only two chairs and they usually have a door open for ventilation. Of course that's more feasible here than in other parts of the country. I wouldn't feel as comfortable in a larger salon. As with any open business, I choose the ones where I feel safest.

My braid just gets longer, which turns into a bit of a problem when it gets longer than my arms can reach. I'm in desperate need of about a foot off it, because it's getting weaker at the ends, and prone to dreading underneath. But it can certainly wait. I might wait until the summer, when my ex-neighbour and friend (and former unprofessional but competent haircutter) is in her summer trailer, and I'll go visit for a day, and have her cut a pile of it off.

Bad news for our local friends who have roots and relatives in Ukraine. A friend lost her brother in Czechoslovakia. Another lost her mother in Bosnia.

Just spoke to a former colleague in Berlin Germany. She said she had Corona in February. Just a bit of cold symptoms at first and her physician didn’t think it was Covid but did a test anyway, which turned out positive. She is in her 80 ties. She felt tired for weeks and also had breathing problems later, dragging out for almost a month. Thankfully did not need to go t hospital. Was told that they are thinking infected people would have antibodies protecting them for at least 8 months, so didn’t get the vaccination.

I read that too, they still are not sure how long it will last beyond the 8 months or if immunity would even last a lifetime like measles:

And the third wave continues to roll through London. We hit 78 positives yesterday, the worst since we hit 82 on January 19, in the throes of the second wave. Hope this is the last wave.

Seems to me the "waves" are purely man made by stopping "lockdowns" or whatever name anyone wants to use, too prematurely.
To me, as far as the virus ramping up it's game is concerned, I think we're in the middle of a second onslaught.
