Social assistance doesn't fit the do it to them before they do it to you rule. It is an antisocial thing ... except for corporate welfare ... and in chaos of distraction ... the simple can't figure that ... and another faction can't see how the feedback bites! Do taxes hurt the rich corporate types worse than the socially deficient in monis?

Tax cut logic?????? Go figure why the rich support it ...

Saw this great little science based video today on the Our World in Data website (also a very interesting site!) I do truly appreciate those who can translate complex information into language & graphics we can better understand.

Scary. But I love the floating toilet paper at the end.

I understand that it spreads fairly easily between people, and can be dangerous...safe distance from others, covering your mouth and nose with tissues or with your elbow if you have to cough or sneeze, and good hand hygiene is really important. Face masks to keep one’s own germs to themselves, may help. Beyond that, I don’t need to be all frightened-up. I did forward to the space-penguin and floating toilet paper. Cute.:giggle:

There are even wild and unpredictable people in cities .... adding to uncertainty about centralization theory ... dense populace scheme?

Only good for tight margins and lack of concern for the wholly things ... bauld and arriving in a hari scream ... Rene, or the dash of the quick?

Thank you Carola for that video. I found it very helpful in understanding just what is going on. No big surprises – I did know the difference between virus and bacteria and the importance of washing hands, but there was a lot of other things that I was quite vague about. (I realize that this is the simplistic way of producing this information for the average person.
PS – I do appreciate your posts.

I noted a piece on CBC today that a branch of the old company I worked for is on the forefront of Coved testing ... a niche of their own in firefly tech!

ATP and all that ... glow in the dark item 've logic! Ti's an icon or indicator thingy ... that's their thing!

I learned today that two more people are sick with covid in a community I care about. I wish them well.

“Dr. Bonnie Henry” shoes by world renowned Vancouver designer John Fluevog, are going on presale order sometime soon (forgot when) ... they’re about $350 and all proceeds go to BC Food Banks. They’re already spoken for I’m assuming. He’s making 200 pairs. What can I say? They’re cute. I like them. I could wear those heels on my scooter - no need to balance on them! I bet there will be a few pairs, hardly worn, in Value Village by this time next year, though. I’m going to keep my eyes open. There will be a few people who have second thoughts about actually wearing them. I’ve seen new looking, interesting Fluevogs at VV before.

It’s just called the “Dr. Henry”. That’s fun. That’s cool. It’s so Vancouver. I like that. Can what I’m feeling for those shoes, justifiably be called a need?:barefoot:

(That’s probably definitely a “no”.) But if I did have $350 to spend, profits go to food banks.

It would be interesting to know, how much of the $350 would be the “ profit” in this case. Sometimes, that’s just a few bucks...

Come to think of it, about a year ago, the Fluevog store here held some sort of after hours fundraiser at its downtown location . I passed by it. It was for an affordable housing initiative. As far as businesses go, they’re trying to help.

Doctored shue when done adequately is pure SOL ... blows me away how few accept alien intellect ... thus unknown attributes of mine/mind ... EL Dor a do?

Knows chitz ... and time to ante up! Ti's a literary squeeze ... denoting a time for whetting or sharpening the mid about the value of war that ... runs counter to BS and autonomous ideas. These must be integrated ... after the trouble with Schitz! One may wrestle ... or naught with Marah ... chez deep and wide as the child's song goes ... recall responsibility of using talents and skills! Some talents are denied and excluded as the powers despise sacral intelligence ... thus alternate choqah! Kind used to make clay folks ... then there's this djinn IHC factor ... mire essence! Something that leaves the authority foundering ... ineffable really! (3 monkey measure ... meta form) This is ethereally dished out like Kaddesh ... Ganess in miq maw! There are implications ... virtual unknowns ...

Based on current projections in BC, they could phase in 60% of what was restricted and still not see much difference in cases. The point of isolating and distancing was not to stop people from catching covid entirely, but to slow it down so as not to overwhelm hospitals. We haven't seen that here...but there are a lot of people waiting to get healthcare because everything was reserved for covid cases. And most cases have not required hospitalization. They will start to relax things in May, it looks like.

Well, this is completely subjective and anecdotal, but there was a HUGE list of deaths today in the Toronto Star. The obits went on for pages and pages. Granted people seem to be writing longer obituaries these days, but even the list of names seemed extraordinarily long.

Are more people dying because they can't get care these days? Because they are not seeking medical care when they need it? Is stress a factor? Who knows?

FWIW it struck me as a lot of deaths.
