I'm in. I enjoyed Godzilla while sitting in a D-Box seat. Loved it.A franchise I might be able to get behind. With the success of the 2014 Godzilla remake, Legendary Pictures and Warner are teaming up to create a Godzilla-King Kong shared universe. As an old kaiju (Japanese monster movie) fan, I approve. Right now, their plans are for 3 movies (plus the 2014 Godzilla):
Kong : Skull Island (in production, basically a re-imagining of King Kong, not another remake like Jackson's was)
Godzilla 2 (will be Gareth Edwards', who directed Godzilla, next movie after the Star Wars movie he's doing)
Kong vs. Godzilla (announced but not much happening yet since the other two have to happen first).
Add in the fact that early discussions of Godzilla 2 suggested other classic kaiju (Mothra, Ghidorah) could be in it and this seems like a potentially fun series. Or a total f-ing disaster. But I'll cross my fingers for the former.
Haven't seen Spectre yet. I don't think I have paid to go and see any Bond film (with the exception of Connery's reprise, "Never Say Never Again"). Connery was my favourite Bond though I have to admit Daniel Craig has probably surpassed him. I suspect that has more to do with advancements to the action genre of film more than acting.
P.S. I can't wait for the new Wonder Woman mpvie.
I saw "Mockingjay: The Hunger Games" on Friday and was disappointed. I haven't seen the other movies in this series and this movie took too much for granted for newbies to the series. And the last part was so cheesy; I hated the ending.
Haven't chosen my birthday movie yet for 2016. I'm thinking I might choose SWTFA, or Peanuts if it's still in the theaters.
